1 | Who are "the other Gods"? | Not Specified | Frank | 74903
Reading the bible I came across the expression:"other Gods" several times and I examined the matter. I found 65(!) verses containing the expression. There is no explanation about who they are, (exept for Baal(-Sebub) who according to an explanation in the back of a bible is the "Lord of flies" - is Belzebub - is Satan). The expression implies however, that there are other Gods. Who are they? Interesting is though, that this expression is only used in ten books of the OLD testament, starting at Exod 18:11 and ending at Hos 3:1 |

4 | What are the other books for? | Revelation | Frank | 36338
Thank you Tim Do you believe that in God's secret plan everybody's life (deeds) was pre-arranged before they were born, upon creation of the world when He did or did not put their names into the Book Of Life? This would mean, it's not in our power do decide if we want to live our life with Jesus and be saved, that God has pre-decided for us even though we do have a free will. God bless you Frank |

6 | What are the other books for? | Revelation | Frank | 36318
Rev.20:12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, *and books were opened*; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; *and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds*. What are those other books (obviously containing all the people's deeds) for, if the Book Of Life (containing everybody's names *from the foundation of the world* who will enter the new Jerusalem together with God and the Lamb) is the only book that counts? |

7 | Who do I pray to, Jesus or God? | NT general Archive 1 | Frank | 36311
I have been told by members of the Free Evangelic Community and other non-catholic communities that I have to pray to Jesus not to God. Now, I cannot find any confirmation in the bible. Instead I found several passages saying: pray to God and/or pray to God in the name of Jesus Christ. Who do I pray to, Jesus or God? |

8 | When was the Book Of Life written? | Revelation | Frank | 36158
Were the names in the Book Of Life entered by God at the beginning of all times? I cannot find any passage in the bible saying when anybody's name is ADDED to the Book Of Life - Revelation 13:8 and 17:8 say "..from the foundation of the world.." Revelation 3:5 and Psalm 69:28 say that anybody's name can be erased from the Book Of Life Revelation 20:12, if the Book Of Life is the only book that counts (Revelation 20:15)then what are the other books for obviously containing the deeds by which everybody is judged? |
