1 Corinthians 10:31 - Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. If you cannot listen to a song "to the glory of God," then you cannot listen to it while in obedience to God. |

2 | Understanding by cross referencing. | 2 Cor 6:14 | Fervent-Servant | 167023
I do agree. God's ultimate desire is that none should perish, but all might have everlasting life. His desire is that all be righteous through His Son, Jesus Christ. Forgive me for not elaborating. I suppose I should have went into further detail in explanation of Rev. 3:16. The point would be: which is more damaging to the CHRISTian witness, the lost or a hypocrit?. The lukewarmness would be that of hypocritical lifestyle which would be a greater hurt to the cause, as it drives more from accepting the truth.

5 | Understanding by cross referencing. | 2 Cor 6:14 | Fervent-Servant | 166998
When taken into perspective with the verse Rev 3:16 "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." we see that God desires all things to be whole. God would rather someone be hot or cold instead of a little of both. He is the same towards relationships. He would rather the relationship be wholy righteous, or wholy unrighteous, instead of mixing the two and diluting what righteousness there is.
6 | Names God gives us??? | 1 Cor 3:9 | Fervent-Servant | 166996
Galatians 3:29 - And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. 1 Corinthians 3:9 - For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 1 Corinthians 3:16 - Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 12:27 - Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. Galatians 4:6 - And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 1 Thessalonians 5:5 - Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 1 Peter 2:9 - But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; |

7 | Scriptures on why not. | 2 Cor 6:16 | Fervent-Servant | 166993
2 Corinthians 6:14 - Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? Revelation 3:16 - So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. When you combine these two scriptures, the reason is truly evident. When you mix righteous and unrighteous or light and dark you end up with a dilution of the two. The same happens when you mix hot and cold. This dilution is considered lukewarm. God desires purity without blemish. The relationships of His people should be pure and righteous not half way righteous. He will have the same feeling of disgust in a lukewarm relationship as a lukewarm church. |

8 | How did the sin of Satan happen? | Matt 12:31 | Fervent-Servant | 166992
How it happened, I believe is best answered when we realize that evil, or the essence of sin, is not a substance, it is merely a term used to describe the absense of God. It's like light and dark, light is actually a form of energy, dark is merely the absense of light. So how did this sin happen? Satan simply shut God out in order to glorify himself. That was his sin. Can it happen again? I would think not, given the prophecy of Revelations. Also, I believe the angels in Heaven are far more intelligent than us. We should have learned from Adam and Eve taking the apple but we still sin, angels on the other hand have the knowledge of what happens to those that sin against the Spirit, Satan just happened to be the one to test the unknown waters. The rest would be fools to try again.
