1 | Revelation 22:18 | Prov 30:6 | Ezzra | 195581
Read Prov. 30:6 and Deut 12:32. God dos not want men playing with His Word. So whtn the Bible was finished, God said something like ok: my revelation for men is done and over do no add or take. So prophecy is over. We need no more revelation we have 66 books in the Bible that is enough for men, imagine if we knew them perfectly? Of course some sects come and say: hey here is another book. Flase the Word is the Word and it is contained in the Books of the Bible, that´s it.
2 | Jesus unheard of in the old testament!!! | Is 53:3 | Ezzra | 195579
Jesus unheard in the old testament!? Give your interlocutor some advice: READ THE OLD TESTAMENT FOR A CHANGE! Even His name is written in various places of the original: for example Ex 15:2 Ask him a riddle: said he would reign, despised by his brethern, sold for some pieces of silver, the gentiles bowed their knees before him, his brethern suffered when they saw him again, ended up recognizing him, sent for salvation, his brethern bowed their knees before him, who is he? Ask him another one offered by his father, offered as a sacrifice suffered death without complaining, who is he? Of course the answers are Josef and Isaac, but they do really look like Jesus. Clear message don't you think Who is emmanuel mentioned in Isaiah 7:14 Who is the Baby mentioned in isaiah 9:6 Who is the person injured in Micah 5:1 who is the person borned in Bethlehem? Micah 5:2 Who is the person described in isaiah 53, and don't let him come up with the story that this chapter mnetions Israel. If israel has a characteristic it is that their hearts are hard Ex. 33:3, Deut 9:6 Who was sold for 30 pieces of silver Zach. 11:12 No wonder they will weep when they recognize jesus so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. |

3 | Responsibility of those in authority | Bible general Archive 4 | Ezzra | 195251
Hi: this is these are the cardinal rules: 1 Pet 5:1 Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed, 1 Pet 5:2 shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness; 1 Pet 5:3 nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock. Bible does indeed say that we should be loyal and subject to our pastors, but it also mentions the way they should behave. I'm a pastor myself and believe me it is not an easy job. God has to guide you to know when to be firm and when to be tender, but the goal is to always, always draw the person nearer to Christ. Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith. Heb 13:7 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you. 13:17 I hope this information is valuable for you, God bless you and remember you are valuable to God! |

4 | Who are the Nicolaitanes? | Bible general Archive 4 | Ezzra | 195250
Hi Michael, I see you are studying the book of revelation. nicolaites are real bad guys: check these three verses: But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. 2 Pet. 2:1 Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; Acts 20:28,29 Yep. there they are. We really do not have a perfect historic definition of them (nicolaites), but what the Bible does tell us is that their doctrine and deeds were lethal. By lethal I mean they wanted to get the principles of the Word out, and impose their doctrines instead. The church in Pergamum (stage that starts with constantine around 300 AC, characterized by sinchretism (mix of christianity mixed with roman idolatry) ) allowed false doctrines and it slowly became weak. check that ephesus (precisely a church warned by paul) rejected these guys because, although they made a big mistake (forgott their first love for the Saviour) they knew the bad guys, "I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false;" So the lesson is, a real congregation that loves Christ has to know the word in order to be able to avoid false teachings; the word is our light, without it we may fall for anything The sum of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous ordinances is everlasting. Shin Psalm 119 |

5 | 7 churches? | Rev 3:20 | Ezzra | 195247
Hello Michael: the seven churches represent the church in time, seven stages that the church has gone through history. It is incredible, if you see the churches in a map they go clockwise. We are right now in the era of Laodicea. Prior stage was Philadelphia: the faithful and missionary church: You know: charles spurgeon, charles finney, john wesley, johnathan edwards. Right now, at laodicea, the church does not love the word any more (like philadelphia did), Christ is not even present in many "christian" churches, and therefore He asks for permission to enter (Rev 3:20); we are, unfortunatelly, lukewarm. Notice that after chp 3, the church is not mentioned again, til chap 22, because the church does not go through the tribulation described from chaps 6-19. Laodicea is the last stage of the church, so we are close to the rapture, and the end of God's plan for the church. Study helps: Check the congratulations to the different churches, check the rebukes (Esmirna and Philadelphia receive none: wow those guys were fatith ful) ephesus: early church esmirna: persecuted church pergamus: church mixed with roman idolatry tiathira: papal church: Jezabel appears as in the old testament as killer of the faithfull sardis: uncomplete reform of the church. Most probably god rebukes Sardis beacuse the jobwas not comletely done: "Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God." philadelphia: faithfull Laodicea: not a single thing to commend: 1 Rev 3:16 'So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth Excuse my spelling, English is not my mother language. I hope this is valuable. If you want great info on the subject look for the video: lessons on the early church by Ray Vanderlaan God Bless you, and may you keep the word like the guys of Philadelphia did! |
