1 | why is the Body of Christ divided? | Not Specified | Eclipse | 156259
My question is one that may, to some be considered highly controversial, but I feel led to ask it anyway. why are there so many denominatios in christianity? the problem of differences in opinion have been hapening in churches as far back as even in Paul's time he addresses it in 1 Cor 1:10-17 10"I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas[a]"; still another, "I follow Christ." 13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into[b] the name of Paul? 14I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. 16(Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power." Not only that but I think Paul was trying to give us an example of the right outlook we should have when he said in 1 Corinthians 2:2For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I think we all should only need to agree on one thing, that Jesus Christ died on the cross for us and that if we believe in him we will have enternal life in him. so my question is this why is the body of Christ divided into different denominations? |

4 | only real commandment??? | Matt 22:1 | Eclipse | 155506
The Pharasies were trying to brand Jesus as a heretic, and to do so they wanted to trick him by asking "what is the greatest commandment?" they thought he would say something like "thou shalt not kill" then they would trap him with "so the rest of the commandments and as important?" but instead Jesus summed up the entire law into "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. and the second greatest is like it. Love others as yourself."
