1 | do we have any free will? | Bible general Archive 1 | Dino Bencini | 33959
Ok I have read what you said and also Psalms 22 and I have some things for you to consider. 1. You cannot physically understand how God and Jesus are one, to the physical brain this is impossible. Therefore you cannot make the statement "Christ to die spiritually would have meant God died". I dissagree with this statement. Also because I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead, eg Romans 10:9 - "that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from among [the] dead, thou shalt be saved." 2. A lot of the old testiment foreshadows Jesus dying on the cross, take Isaac for instance. My friend, thankyou for spending this time with me, I will talk to others that I consider to have a close walk with God and see what they have to say. But for now lets just be happy that we're both going to heaven, and move on to some new things that God wants to share with us. Regards Dino |

I have heard what you said, I feel that only the holyspirit leads people to Christ, the day of penticost is evedence of this not who preaches. I do believe that sin can seperate us from God thats why thier is no sin in heaven and why satan had to be cast out of heaven. If Jesus bore our sin on the cross then he had to go through a time of being cut off from God. Please I don't want to continue with this topic we can gain so much more if we move on with him, he has so many more things he has yet to reveal to us, that will be very benificial to our time here on earth. |

Ok I do appologise sometime we get caught up in an arguement instead of keeping our eyes on Jesus. The only way to get into heaven is to believe and confess as in Romans 10:9 - "that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from among [the] dead, thou shalt be saved." So if you've adheared to this then our arguement about hell and spiritual death is meaningless. |

Edb, We going to have to agree to disagree on this one, but Jesus said what he said. Now i'm not accusing you here but if any one is turning anything around it is you, think about what you just said. Anyway my friend I have to go and want to go spend some time with my wife and kids with takeaways and videos. Just one note before I go, we can both ask God for revelation knowledge of Jesus it doesn't hurt but I pray you do that because thats what I'll do. God bless you cheers |

Please feel free to quote it. Because ok I did randomly choose it from a search engine, and since then I have been back to check it out and did not find where Jesus had a wreslting match with Satan. I think you looked at it in a very bias way and read into it exaclty what you wanted. Listen there's no need to be rude refering to "crummy" as christians we should help each other not joke about each others weaknesses. If you think i'm decieved then your goal should be to help me because I'll be the first to admit it, if I'm wrong, this isn't some big compition, I have already taken your views to people who I regard as being very much in tune with Gods heart beat. When they get back to me I'll let you know what they say. The bible does talk about proving somthing useing 2 or 3 witnesses so I want to see if I am mis-understanding this whole thing or not. You are not my enemy. |

6 | having to work the sabbath | Matt 12:1 | Dino Bencini | 33814
Ok look to be honest I do not know a lot about this teaching but I'll ask a friend of mine who is very in tune to Gods heartbeat and get back to you. But let me tell you this I worship God everyday in the morning before work, at lunch on my way home and back to work again and then when work finishes I worship all the way home and I constantly reflect on his glory. Not joking here but sometime even on my way to the toilet I'm praiseing and worshipping God. You see I feel that since Jesus, we have him living inside of us and we constantly share with him and him with us. I would find it interesting if we could find a deciple in the bible upholding the sabbath. |

You misunderstood what I was saying I know that Satan isn't in hell yet. But Jesus was spiritually dead see below... And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46) Jesus died spiritually for all mankind and was consequently separated from God by our sin. ... that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. Hebrews 2:9b Jesus was "Born Again" from the dead. But God raised Him from the dead. ... as it is also written in the second Psalm: 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.' And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption ... Acts 13:30,33-34 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Colossians 1:18 I am a earthly father I have a son we are both human. If my son dies that doesn't mean I die. If you dead spiritually that means you cut off from God. No where did I say he had a big wrestling match in hell with satan, where did you get that from? |

Another scripture on the topic : When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He descended into hell. In Acts 2, Peter is speaking, verse 31, " . . . seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in HELL" Ephesians 4:9, says of Jesus: "Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the LOWER PARTS OF THE EARTH." |

The Bible speaks that Jesus went to hell for three days and three nights after His death on the cross. Matthew 12:40 records this statement, "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." He was not in hell (Sheol) to receive torment but rather to preach to those that were there awaiting their release to be taken to heaven with Him. After those three days and three nights in hell (Sheol) Jesus took all the Old Testament saints with him to heaven (including one of the thieves that was crucified next to Him. Luke 23:43: "And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.") This explains why Jesus said He would be in hell for three days and three nights and yet would that day also be in paradise. Paradise was that safe place in hell (Sheol) that all the Old Testament saints were kept until their sins were atoned for on the cross. Jesus is now seated on the right hand of God in a position of all authority and power over all things. He is awaiting the time of His second coming to this earth to get the rest of His people and take them to heaven also. For Christians, this will be a joyous time. His second coming for the evil and wicked however, will not be a joyous event as they will be judged and then sent to hell. You know the bible says in John 8:32 - and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. You see it's the KNOWING of the truth that sets us free, the REVELATION knowledge of Jesus (Ephesians 1:17) and WISOM. We should ask God for this REVELATION knowledge of Jesus, because it's discerned in the heart and spirit and not merely the head. God wants us to understand his word with our head but we musn't lose sight of what our spirit is telling us because thats where the Holy Ghost speaks to us to reveal His word. |

Charis, Sorry my friend, if I've misunderstood what you were saying. This is what I feel the bible teaches as a WHOLE. Short of OUTRIGHT un-repeantant disobiedience there is no way of loosing your salvation. |

Ebd, You better believe Jesus went to hell in your place else my friend guess where you going. God and Jesus and Holy spirit are the trinity. I am an eathly father I have a son, we are human. If my son dies, do I die? God had to be around to raise Jesus from the dead on the 3rd day. |

Ok I have to be quick here because I have to go to work. 1. I cannot and don't teach on the unforgivable sin, I just know there is one and that that scripture talks about it. 2. You my friend and I say this in love, have a sin conceousness dictated to you by religion. We shouldn't seek a licence to sin, a righteous man seeks a way out of sin. 3. I believe that in our righteouness lies the fruit of forgiveness, and that when we the righteous in God miss the mark (sin) we are already forgiven and it is merely a commandment of God to repeant and come totally clean, if we hang on to that sin and don't obey Gods word then we Fall out of righteousness. 4. So you can see we stay forgiven even though we sin as long as we are quick to repent. (This is not a licence to sin, see above) 5. Satan want to get you to condem yourself and not to see yourself as God sees you. 6. Even Satan tried to get Jesus to doubt his righteoness by saying "if thou be the son of God turn these stones into bread". Thats Satans job if he can get you to believe your a mere sinful man he wins. 7.If you did'nt do anything (but believe) to get righteouness, when you sin, why is it now you think you have to do something to obtain it again when you did't do anything to get it in the first place? Sin conciousness. Ok must run sorry.... |

So tell me hank? Is the glass half empty or half full? Does it really matter. Without Jesus you go to hell. I'm not going to get hung up about a slight different view on the matter. Lets agree to disagree and leave it at that. |

JESUS went to hell in our place, he had to pay the FULL price for our sin. When he died on the cross he took our sin apoun himself. Listen its way past my bed time you can get the scriptures for this at the following web site... http://www.soonet.ca/users/stickman/hellno.html |

I fully agree with you. Lets not get technical here. The bible says (Matthew 18:3) Verily I say to you, Unless ye are converted and become as little children, ye will not at all enter into the kingdom of the heavens. It only took a boy David to kill golliath. Foolish things to confound the wise Jesus is simple to understand plus he gives us the holy spirit to reveal his word to us. Lets look at this logically... 1. Satan was the first to sin. 2. Sin is not allowed in heaven and thus hell was created for all things sinfull, which at the time was just Satan and the fallen angels. 2. In 2 Peter 3:9 God tells us "...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" 3. Let me tell you Gods blue print for EVERY MAN ends in heaven, he want us all to repent. Its his WILL. 4. If God is the Judge and Satan is the accuser of the brethren (Revelation 12:10). It's satans job to proove to God that sin exists in us, to try and get us into hell. But God so loved the world that he sent Jesus to die in our place and so his blood could wash our sins away and thus we will stand in righteousness given to us as a free gift. 5.God can't go against his word the only way he can save you is by substitution, dying in your place and takeing your sins on himself and going to hell in your place. 6.The choice is yours to accept Jesus or not. He can't change his law (word), now what do you want to do? |

18 | Practical definition of 'forsake?' | Bible general Archive 1 | Dino Bencini | 33706
Yes Jesus will always take you back. The only unforgivable sin Jesus talks about is grieveing the holy spirit. I think if you've committed the un-forgivable sin you wont want to seek repentance anyway. Here are some scripture, I think they speak for themselves... Mark 3:28 Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; Mark 3:29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin |

19 | having to work the sabbath | Matt 12:1 | Dino Bencini | 33705
Simple answer. The sabbath rule does not apply anymore since Jesus. In Matt 12:1 to 11 The deciples worked for food(picking heads of grain) and the Pharisees tried to condem them but Jesus illistrates that he is Lord of the sabbath. In Matt 12:6 Jesus says "But I say to you that something greater than the temple is here." Refering to the priests breaking the sabbath in the temple. He also says Matt 12:11 And He said to them, "What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?". If you want more on this topic do a search on the sabbath in this news group because someone has already answered this question. |

20 | Why Jesus prays to his Father | John 10:29 | Dino Bencini | 33693
Hello every one, Jesus said I am the way the TRUTH and the life noone comes to the father but by me. 1. There is only one way to stand before almighty God and that is sinless, being spotless, being JUSTIFIED (declared righteous) by the blood of Jesus. Once you are spotless you can speak directly to God. We just use Jesus's name because this show everyone who qualifies us to stand spotless before God. There is also power in that name, thats why satan doesn't want us to use it. Satan wants us to try earn our righteous by our own works because he knows we'll fail, but we need to accept Gods righteousness by FAITH as a free gift from God by believeing in Jesus and what his precious blood bought for us at calvery. 1. Christians didn't coin the term Son of God with reference to Jesus, but God himself on various occasians. After Jesus was baptised he was filled with the holy spirit and God said "This is my son in whom I am well pleased", this happened again when the deciples and Jesus were on a mountain and moses and Elija appeared. 2.The reason old testiment people didn't pray in Jesus name is obviouse that Jesus hadn't been born yet, these people would be cleansed through the sacrifice of an animal being symbolic of Jesus's death. Back in Abrhams day the 10 commandments hadn't arrived yet so his only sin was the sin he inherited from Adam, but God cut a tremendous covenant with him and because he BELIEVED God counted it unto him as righteousness. A good way to believe in Jesus being part of the trinity is to take a look a an egg. An Egg represents Yolk, White and shell. God the father, Jesus his son and the holy spirit. I am an earthly father, I have a son but we are both HUMAN. Eg... FATHER, SON - GOD |
