1 | How do you reconcile unexpected deaths? | Ex 20:13 | Dawna | 208065
George, with your comment about a person dying in sin thru suicide, how do you reconcile the fact that all of us are sinners saved by grace and sin most every day through selfishness, need to self-protect., etc. and then die quickly without the ability to seek daily/moment forgiveness? Do we all chance hell by this? What about grace?
2 | Can asking for another wife be of God? | Eph 5:6 | Dawna | 207991
Justification is an amazing friend to those who would rather be comfortable then godly. I am sorry about the circumstance you find yourself in but I believe your husband heard what he wanted to hear rather than God's voice. Proverbs 20:17 states that "Bread obtained by falsehood is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel." Justification is sweet at first but does not lead to blessing.
3 | is it ok to lie in certain cases | John 8:44 | Dawna | 207989
In both of the versus you use, check out the motive for the lying. Abraham was afraid and bowed to fear over God's protection. David's men were hungry and bowed to physical need over God's provision. Both men did not wait for God's answer and their lies caused problems for those around them. (i.e. to the man who thought Sarah was his sister and wanted to take her for himself.) I would also like to add to some of the answers you already received which answered that we do not lie even regarding do we lie even unto death. This can be a scary question but the Lord said in Matthew 10:33 "But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven." When faced with opposition which includes exposure as a believer, we need to keep this verse in mind. Our life here is but a blip on the screen of eternity. |

4 | Revelation in order? | 2 Pet 2:1 | Dawna | 207986
Kay Arthur has a great bible study on Revelation that really lays out the time line for this book. Hers is a long study (I did mine in a group. Took a whole year) but it was very helpful. She is the author that does Precept bible studies.
