1 | Eph 1:18, Inheritance question? | Eph 1:18 | ChadK. | 64933
Yes Tealead, Your line on it sounds pretty good. What would His inheiretance in the saints be? A bride. Every good husband is happy when he finds a bride. Who is the bride of Christ? The body of Christ. Who is the body? The saints. We who are born-again. Peace. In Christ, Chad K. |

2 | DO WE KNOW EACH OTHER IN HEAVEN | Bible general Archive 1 | ChadK. | 64829
They probably think that because of Isaiah 65:17. My wife kind of believes that also but I do not. It seems funny to me that the disciples, martyrs and so forth would have acheived seats of honor in heaven as stated in Revelations and then not be able to remember why they were sitting up in front of everybody...lol. 4 | AA agnostic wants practical proof of God | Rom 10:17 | ChadK. | 64554
You're right Hank. I should rephrase my answer. Here is what scripture says about atheism: Psalm 10:4 "4 In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God." Psalm 14:1 "The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good." Psalm 36:1 "An oracle is within my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes." 1 John 2:22 "Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist--he denies the Father and the Son." So we can see that atheists lack understanding and are morally deficient which is what the hebrew word for "fool" translates to in our language. My children also lack understanding. So when my lean and hungry child comes to me and says "I am hungry." I tell them "Get an apple or some grapes." They say "Can we have a candy bar instead?" I say "No, get an apple or some grapes like I told you." then they say "I don't want an apple or grapes." Then I say "Then you are not very hungry after all are you?" Even though some folks seem to be searching for knowledge, when the truth is presented they either accept or deny it. If they accept it then Praise God. The bible states that a basic belief in God is just plain common sense in not so many words. But the bottom line along with my answer is still the same. "No". There is no easy way to convince an atheist of the existance of God. It's like trying to convince a drowning person of the existance of water. It just makes no sense. Just state the truth. Proclaim the gospel. Allow room for the Holy Spirit to work and then move on. If the atheist is a loved one then pray, pray and then pray some more but the sheep that do not belong to Christ will not obey His voice. Ever. In Christ, Chad K. |

5 | AA agnostic wants practical proof of God | Rom 10:17 | ChadK. | 64505
Hi, There is no "easy" way to "prove" the existance of God to an athiest or agnostic. These people tend to make things much more complex than they have to be. They attempt to intellectualize every little matter and in the process end up confusing themselves. Not everything has to be complicated. You will find that when someone doesn't believe in some kind of God it is related directly the fear of actually admitting they are not perfect and need help from another source to overcome the inheirant corruption of the flesh. You don't need to argue over the existance of God. The first chapter of Romans states that the existance of God is evident even in nature so that all men are without excuse. If this person is in AA, then he has got problems and most likely wont make it past step 2. Step 2 requires you to admit that "we came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity." That would be God. If you can get a hold of an acurate history of AA, you will find that it was created by two christian gentleman and all twelve steps are biblical principals taken directly from the bible. Of course secular agents of AA will deny this vehemently. When secularists got a hold of AA, the first thing they did was remove the name of Jesus Christ and in doing so they removed all the power. Like taking the batteries out of a flashlight. Hey, that's a nice flashlight, but it's junk 'cause it don't work. AA has a documented 3 percent recovery rate while Judao-christian programs based soley on the Word of God like teen-challenge and some others have an average recovery rate of 83 percent... Big diffence huh? In Christ, Chad K. |

6 | What does this verse mean? | Luke 12:42 | ChadK. | 64498
Hi, It seems this verse is best understood when taking into consideration the surrounding text. From verse 40 - 46 gives the bigger picture. Jesus is telling His disciples of one who was not faithful and diligent in his duties. Consequently, that one's underlings were adversely affected by his failure to continue on in his master's charge. This man (or woman) was a part of the body of Christ and the body having many parts is still one body. If the little toe stops doing its job then the whole body suffers. What is the job of your little toe? To support the foot so then in turn the foot may support the leg and so on and so on. We all have responsibilities in our positions in the body if we are born-again. No matter who you are, there are those above you and those below. The one who submits to authority is the one who gains it. When a husband submits to God, then his wife respects him and supports him and in turn their children then submit to the wife who submited to the husband who submited to God. When one does not submit to their authority it throws everything out of wack. The passage also states the penalty for such abuses. Of course this is subject to the time at which this behavior is exposed. If one is backsliden then so long as the Master does not return and catch him in that state he has a valid chance to confess his transgression and return to the way he should be acting and therefore receive once again right standing with God. BUT, if the master does return and catches that servant in that state of disobediance then he will be assigned a place with the unbelievers. In Christ, Chad K. |
