Hi Top, When we come to Christ, we had repented of our sins. God had forgiven us of all the sins that we had committed on the basis of His Son death on the cross. Jesus Had paid fully the penalty of sins on our behalf. There is no sins too big or too small that God will not forgive, if we confess them to God. (1 John 1:9) | ||||||

Dear hank, Many thanks for your response. I agreed with your view. One follow up question, does this verse to vs 26 teaches about salvation also? If so, then how can we reconcile, if it is possible, with the teaching of election? (since vs 23 begin will 'if anyone wishes to come to me...) BibleForm |

Many had refer to this verse when they teach on the topic of discipleship, or rather the cost of discipleship. I had a question. Can one become a Christian and not a disciple? i.e. discipleship is optional. Anyone care to explain or enlighten me? | ||||||
