Yes I believe you. God will deliver me just as he has you and many. I thank you for your prayer for me for complete victory. Christ has the power to help me do this. Accountability is something the Holy Spirit has been prodding me to do. I will pray for the right person to go to. Thank you for your wise advice. You be blessed also EdB. Bev |

Thank you EdB. There has been much change in me through the power of our Lord but when I get so very lonely, I tend to go to a bar (happens approx 1 a month or every 2 months.) I feel like a failure when I do this. I have a typed copy of the armor of God in my bathroom so I will put it on at the beginning of each day but somehow the loneliness prevails and I end up doing something I do not want to do at all. I am a lady when I go but I still end up drinking too much and that makes a lousy witness and I feel like a lousy Christian.

6 | "I pray Thee" Earnestly implore? | 2 Chr 6:40 | Bev Ann | 105525
Jesus Christ seeks a close personal relationship with us. He wants to walk with us in the "garden" as the song goes. He wants us to pour our hearts out to him, all of our fears and concerns. He wants us to realize we cannot do anything "apart from him" (John 15:5). He wants us to need him and rely on him totally. The closer we get to him and the more we talk with him, the more we learn how to please him in prayer. He tells us to pray humbly in supplication with thanksgiving (Phil 4:6-7). He tells us to be thankful for all things - good and bad because God is in control of everything. He tells us to be persistent in our prayers and plead earnestly for what we are asking. I believe the Lord knows my heart and yours. I believe he knows how badly we want and need our prayer answered, he knows how earnest we are. We must remember our prayers are answered if it is in his will and on his time schedule. All glory be given to God. This is the first time I have answered a question, I hope I didn't err. I'm learning as always. In the love of Christ, Bev Ann |
