1 | Should women be allowed to preach? | Galatians | BELIKEJESUS | 50190
Scribe, Shalom. I'm not trying to be bossy or puff my chest out to say I'm right and you're wrong. I've studied the scriptures and examined closely as to what the bible says and what I see now. Just as I'm sure you and many others have also. I'm not trying to be little anyone’s understanding pertaining to this matter, because whither anyone agrees or disagree with this the gospel will continue to be preached and souls will be converted and men and women, boys and girls will still love Jesus. There are many simpler subjects than this that the church argues and disagree on and have been sense the beginning of the church and still haven't gotten anywhere on the subject. When something like this can be used to bring brothers and sisters to arguing and fussing like children; calling each others names; than something is seriously wrong and we as a whole have lost focus of the big picture. It's not about me nor is it about you or any other man or women. This thing is about Jesus. It's about preaching the gospel that men and women, boys and girls (no matter how young or old they may be) might hear the gospel and believe on Jesus who gives eternal life. It's about winning soul and nothing else. It's about revealing the Son to those who sit in darkness. I don't care if a man or women, boy or girl preach this thing. I don't care if a 3mo. old baby grabs the mic and preaches this thing. What I do care about is that the gospel is preached, and people who hear the gospel believe it and receive Jesus as their savior. Because when it's all said and done and the dust settles, the last thing I want to discuss with God is why was I so concerned with who preached the message and why I spent my time debating on who's right and who's wrong while the whole time people sitting in darkness never hear the light. Paul said if what I do offends my brother, then I will never do it again. Because when I offend him, I not only sin against him but against Christ who died for him; and again else where he said I would rather suffer to be wronged that there may be peace between my brother and I. God has not called us to fighting and devouring one another but to have peace and love for each other. There are more pressing issues that we are faced with than this and I think that we should face these issues together in agreement of the same faith. Do you love God? Have you accepted Jesus? Do you have the power of the Holy Spirit (and if not pray for it)? If we agree on these fundamentals of the bible than we are brothers of the same faith. Guess what? Men and women have fought one another over issues like these as far back as to the fall of man. There hasn't been total agreement on christian belief sense the first century church. They had all things in common. I prefer to be like Jesus. He nor did any of the Holy Prophets of God argue and fight with one another over anything. A good question is...Why are we? For God is not the author of confusion but of peace in all the churches. Where there is confusion there is strife and every evil work. I'm not your enemy and you are not mine. Let us put down these petty differences and join together and war a good warfare against the father of confusion, which is the devil that others may follow after our examples. A house devided can not stand and neither can the church of Jesus Christ stand if it is devided against its self. There are many different views than the few we've all discussed here on this forum and we will never get anywhere like this. We all come from different denominations and non-denominations and we may all never see eye to eye on somethings but to avoid disputing with one another lets focus on wheighter matters (and that's bible). Christ is the answer and he is the reason why we sing. Peace be unto you. |

2 | Should women be allowed to preach? | Galatians | BELIKEJESUS | 50159
Thank you for your kind words but I thank God for being able to stay scriptural and not give my own opinion without saying well...here is my opinion. When I first got saved all I got was peoples opinions and different church doctrines that was directly contrary with the bible. I was confused bad, but I prayed to God standing on the scripture in James 1:5. Then God put me in a bible believing church but most of all he gave a friend who happens to be a minister who taught me that I have to read the bible and get into a personal relationship with God for myself and to let the bible be the final authority in my life. So I'm just giving to those who need it because it was more than what I got as a new convert. Shalom.

Well you have it pretty much summed up but I think that God has called some of them and then some of them just appointed themselves. The reason I say God called, anointed, and ordained is because you have to be anointed by God to work miracles wither laying hands on the sick or to preach the gospel and many souls are converted. Ordained means to appoint and whom God has called has ordained and whom he ordained the anoints (give power or authority to accomplish the work). That's what I've noticed through out the bible and the people of God who are in ministry. In the 16 chapter of Mark it says that God was working with them confirming his word with signs following. God will confirm his word that comes out to the minister’s mouth if he/she is called of God speaking the words of God. But anyway, you're right on target. Stay in the word. Peace.
4 | Should women be allowed to preach? | Galatians | BELIKEJESUS | 50155
Here is a scripture to support this question that I forgot to give. 1Cor.14:34-38. The law that God gave states this but v.37 really drills this home by saying IF ANY MAN THINKS HIMSELF TO BE A PROPHET, OR SPIRITUAL, LET HIM ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE THINGS THAT I WRITE UNTO YOU ARE THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD. So we as belivers must admit that this is the order of God. But I hope that we don't miss the big picture which is the reason that we are all talking about this, and that is to help give an answer to the brother/sister to give to his/her friend. Questions like these are good for us because we can come together and discuss what isn't being discused in most churches and why it is written. We must study the word of God everyday and ask questions when we don't fully understand scriptures but most of all just to be honest and say I don't know or understand if we don't know or even understand. May God Bless you all. Shalom. |

5 | Should women be allowed to preach? | Galatians | BELIKEJESUS | 50134
I've read the statements about women being able or allowed to preach, and I see that when discussing the topic it is very important to stay on the subject and with in scripture. The bible clearly gives an answer to this question but because the times have changed some people will say the the word of God is or parts of it have become out dated. To say that is really to say that God has become out dated. God is his word and his word is him; the two are the same. From Adam all the way down to Jesus himself (and Paul seen this and expressed it to the church) God has never addressed himself on the female agenda. God always addressed himself as he, because man is the representation of God. God sent prophets with the divine message to preach, but he never sent a prophetess to preach. He sent a prophetess to foretell a future event, but he has never sent a prophetess to come before the people and breakdown the scriptures, analyze the scriptures and to charge, rebuke and chastise. Because the women can not have usurp (dominate) authority over the man. That's what the bible teaches and I believe that. I also believe that there are women preacher who has been anointed by God to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that it sounds contridictive but it isn't. When Jesus entered in to Jerusalem the people took branches of palm trees, and went to meet him saying Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that comes in the name of the Lord. Then the Pharisees came to him to command him to stop them, but Jesus said if they hold there peace the rocks would cry out (and praise him). God will not share his glory with anyone and if his creation (we the people whom he created) refuse to praise him who can talk, than God will get his glory from his creation that can't talk (the rocks). What I'm saying is that men have submitted themselves to women and have refused the word of God (the bible) because they don't understand Gods reasoning for stating this (1Tim 2:11-12) in scripture. Remember that it wasn't just a culture difference but Gods will. Paul was not writing to the Jews. Paul was not called to the Jews. Paul was writing to the gentiles (non-Jews) teaching them how the house of God ought to be run. Man did not make this up, God ordained it and we preach what God said but for some reason the church refuses to preach it because it offends. News Flash *** everything that is not in obedience to God is offended by the gospel, so if people who are saints or sinners are going to be offended by the church preaching the gospel; let it be because the whole gospel was preached and not a water down version. But I've noticed that for a long time generally across the board that there isn't alot of men in the churches but are in the streets. Women and children have filled the churches for the longest, but sense the men have been absent form the church God has called and anointed women to minister his word. Like the rocks God will use his creatures no matter who they are to do his will. ** Note** Look at Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages o unrighteousness; but was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet. It is a shame for men who have been made to rule over the women to submit to that which he has been given power over. Like Balaam who was put to shame by the ass and the people who would have been put to shame by the rocks had they not glorified Jesus. So should the men of the church be put to shame for not being men of God in the church. But God will continue to use women in the ministry because God has ordained it by the lack of response of the men to the ministry by God. |
