1 | Marriage in church | Gen 2:24 | Avalon | 109530
When a man enters a marriage contract his wife is his first priority, not his mama or his family. I am suprised that the pastor of his chuch has not already informed him of this. Regardless of His privately held views, it is still his duty to spiritually guide his family. By abandoning you to go at it alone spiritually he has divorced you. I suggest you remind this man of God's first command to man. He is to leave his family and become part of yours.
2 | Living Prophets? | Bible general Archive 2 | Avalon | 109528
By scriptural definition, a prophet is anyone who has a testimony of Jesus Christ and is moved by the Holy Ghost (Rev. 19:10) Throughout history, God has chosen prophets, such as Noah, Abraham, Moses, and others, to teach the gospel and direct His Church (Amos 3:7). It is no different today.Moses, voicing his approval of two men who had prophesied, exclaimed, "Would God that all the Lord's people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!" (Num. 11:26-29) We all need God’s guidance in a world that is sometimes confusing. Because God loves His children, He continues to send living prophets. Just as God led the Israelites out of slavery and to a better place through His prophet Moses, He leads His children today into happier, more peaceful lives when they choose to follow His living prophet. The Hebrew prophets spoke for God for many centuries until the post-apostolic era, from the second to the nineteenth centuries, when faith in continuing prophecy had vanished in that part of the world and when people assumed, even as did some in Jesus' day, that the prophets were dead (John 8:53) and their offices abolished. To believe that God had spoken to people of one's own time was "the test that Christ's generation could not pass" Why does the Lord call prophets, seers, and revelators? And how do we sustain them? "He that prophesieth," wrote Paul, "speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort" (1 Cor. 14:3)—such a person teaches, admonishes, and gives assurance of God's love. The fundamental responsibility of prophets, seers, and revelators, all of whom bear apostolic authority, is to bear certain testimony of the name of Jesus Christ in all the world. This basic call to be a special witness of His name has remained constant whenever Apostles have been on the earth. This testimony, borne of the Holy Ghost through revelation, was the heart of the New Testament Church and is the heart of the Church today.Paul wrote to the Ephesians, that those who embrace the gospel become the household of God "and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone. |

3 | can a person fall from grace | Heb 6:4 | Avalon | 109477
Grace is the free and unmerited favor of God. Considering that the gift of grace is free; How could you fall from something that has nothing to do with you. We can only receive grace. We cannot merit it. We cannot improve upon it. Mos certainly we cannot diminish grace in any way. Romans 8: 38And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. 39Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. |

It is the natural need to worship however the natural man doesn't always understand where to go for fullfillment. The Devotion to God is a covenant. You essentially surrender and It promises that you will be content regardless of the situation. The secret desire of the heart is happiness..God promises this if you delight in It alone.
5 | end of world and end of age | Matt 12:32 | Avalon | 109424
In my opinion Joel prophesied the Ne Age. The end of the age is considered a good thing considering it is also the start of a new age. While the end of the world is thend of all ages and dispensations. We are in the age of Aquarius. The age of aquarius was officially ushered in, in this Astrologer's opinion, on January 23 1997 at 17:35 GMT.This means the end of an era,(age of Pisces) and the beginning of another. Many feel this heralds the coming of the "end of times" as written in the Bible. Some feel it is the dawning of the new world order. Whatever it means it is still mysterious, and opinions differ widely in the Astrology community. I feel it is a combination of both of the above. The aspects of the constellations over Jerusalam at that moment created a perfect Star of David formation. Just as Christ birth was heralded by the star of Bethlahem so the Unholy One has been born. To view the Chart go here:http://www.astrology-online.com/age.htm.The precision of the Star of David alignment in the chart above, is rare... But for it to "happen" to be upright perfectly, is unheard of. The odds of this happening by chance are over a billion to one! There is so much heated debate over what this means, that you may find various explanations everywhere. On thing we can all agree on, is something big is happening... And soon... |
