1 | Jesus said Don't Tell" about my miracle | Dan 9:25 | Armond | 120250
Just wanted to add one more verse to make my point... John 6 14 After the people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus did, they began to say, Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world. 15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself. Norm, I read your post and I can see how this was prophetic.. do you care to expound on this any further.. I may do some study on this for my own understanding. |

2 | Jesus said Don't Tell" about my miracle | Matt 12:20 | Armond | 120247
Matt 12:19 "HE WILL NOT QUARREL, NOR CRY OUT; NOR WILL ANYONE HEAR HIS VOICE IN THE STREETS. This is a great question and the answers is that Jesus was not here to win a popularity contest.. He was here to do God's will. Too much unwarranted attention could undermind His purpose and His Mission.. Matt 16:20 Then He warned the disciples that they should tell no one that He was the Christ. Matt 16:21 From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day. Men would have attempted to make Jesus a King... But His kingdom was not of this world.. John 2:23 Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name, observing His signs which He was doing. John 2:24 But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, for He knew all men, John 2:25 and because He did not need anyone to testify concerning man, for He Himself knew what was in man. |

3 | Tithing and Giving whats your thoughts? | 2 Cor 9:1 | Armond | 120153
Look at acts 4:34 Acts 4:34 For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales Acts 4:35 and lay them at the apostles' feet, and they would be distributed to each as any had need and notice how it coincides with 2 cor 9 .. Cor 9:7 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Now let us reason together here. James 3:17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled); then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion and good fruits; it is wholehearted and straightforward, impartial and unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering, and insincerity How can you be told on one hand that you are robbing God if you do not tithe and then say at the same time , give not out of necessity. It simply does not make sense.. Therefore it is clear, one command was under different conditions (or covenants) than the other. 2 Cor 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed; 2 Cor 9:9 as it is written, "HE SCATTERED ABROAD, HE GAVE TO THE POOR, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER Giving is purposed by God to serve the needs of His people the Church ..You give to the poor .. Here are two excellent places to write about tithing, and the instrument (or pen), who is Paul and the writer, who is the Holy Spirit makes no mention of tithing. I personally think tithing has no new covenant basis and it is being used to exploit people and bring them into condemnation when they can not live up to this standard, in many case it nullifies grace because people began to look at the tithe as a way to be blessed by God.. |

4 | Pastors and Salaries | 1 Cor 9:10 | Armond | 51728
ok once more we must lend ourselves to seeing God's purpose. Absolutetly God's gifts are free. But even Jesus accepted support as people were lead. The term salary may be the stumbling block. But be it salary or gifts, contributing to the support of people in ministry is right. Luke 8:1 Soon afterwards, He began going around from one city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him, Luke 8:2 and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, Luke 8:3 and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others who were contributing to their support out of their private means. |

5 | Is this an example - speaking in tongues | 1 Cor 13:1 | Armond | 51651
We must be careful not to make tongues out of a badge or doctrine for recognizing who is saved or unsaved or those who are more or less spiritual. True evidence of christian character is shown through the fruits of the spirit. Notice tongues is NOT listed. Matt 7:16 "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 2 Matt 7:20 "So then, you will know them by their fruits. Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 48 Eph 5:9 (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), |

6 | Pastors and Salaries | 1 Cor 9:10 | Armond | 51650
There are many many passages to support salaries. I am just listing these two. Also think about the Lord sending out His disciples two by two. He required they bring no money for their support yet they lacked nothing.. 1 Cor 9:9 For it is written in the Law of Moses, "YOU SHALL NOT MUZZLE THE OX WHILE HE IS THRESHING." God is not concerned about oxen, is He? 2 1 Tim 5:18 For the Scripture says, "YOU SHALL NOT MUZZLE THE OX WHILE HE IS THRESHING," and "The laborer is worthy of his wages |

8 | Faith works through LOVE | Heb 4:1 | Armond | 39408
Well it is clear that you believe therefore the seed of Faith has been planted, water it daily with His Word. 1 Pet 2:2 Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation, And the Lord will bless you with HIS love through the Holy Spirit. Dont strive just receive Rom 5:5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. |

9 | Faith works through LOVE | Heb 4:1 | Armond | 38555
Faith can be also said to mean trust, although sometimes we know that God can do anything we on occasion do not realized He will do this for us because He loves us. When we understand how much He loves us then trusting becomes easier and then we enter into the assurance of His promises
