3 | Should a preacher be revered | 1 John 2:20 | Aquadisk | 165452
The dictionary defines "revered" as: "To regard with awe, deference, and devotion." It is a really difficult question to answer with that word in it, but the answer is no. You revere God, for everything good comes from heaven. In regards to preacheres, read this verse. 1 Thessalonians 5:12 Now we ask you, brothers, to give recognition to those who labor among you and lead you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Notice, it doesn't say, "Put those who labor among you up on a pedestal and praise them and devote yourself to them." You are to recognize them for being God's faithful tool, but in no way worship them as anything more than human. Check out this verse too: 1 Timothy 5:17 The elders who are good leaders should be considered worthy of an ample honorarium, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching. |

6 | Iam just start read about the colossian | Colossians | Aquadisk | 159336
Paul actually never visited Colossae. The only ties he has to it was that he wrote a letter to the church there. The man who did visit the church and did much of the teaching was named Epaphras. Paul talks about him in the letter. Colossians 1:7-8 You learned this from Epaphras, our much loved fellow slave. He is a faithful minister of the Messiah on your behalf, 8 and he has told us about your love in the Spirit. Epaphras had a great love for the church at Colossae. Colossians 3:12-13 Epaphras, who is one of you, a slave of Christ Jesus, greets you. He is always contending for you in his prayers, so that you can stand mature and fully assured in everything God wills. For I testify about him that he works hard for you, for those in Laodicea, and for those in Hierapolis. I hope this helps.

Please remember, that Jesus is not telling of an event that occured. He is speaking a parable: A symbolic representation of something bigger than the words he used. There was no actual wedding. The wedding stands for something greater.
13 | Why do so many people read The Bible? | 1 Thessalonians | Aquadisk | 156265
1 Thessalonians 2:13 "Also, this is why we constantly thank God, because when you received the message about God that you heard from us, you welcomed it not as a human message, but as it truly is, the message of God, which also works effectively in you believers." The Bible is the word of God, words to live by, and words to rejoice in. |

14 | why is the Body of Christ divided? | 2 Timothy | Aquadisk | 156262
Many people today have often looked at the world that the bible was transcribed in and the world of today as two completely different worlds where the scripture and rules of God must change and adapt to fit the changing world. This is a mistake, for we are the ones who must change and be reborn so we can be closer to God. We are to fit his agenda, and not he, ours. That said, many people believe that as sin becomes more and more common, sin must become more and more accepted. This is wrong. That all said, you must realize that because people believe that the bible and its application in today's world is different, that they are free to serve and worship in the way that best suits them. If an individual finds in a church, worship method, or religion, something they do not like, they move on and find a better one, or, they search for a church/worship method/religion that BEST FITS THEM. This means that religion is becoming less and less powerful, as it is so diverse that people find the one they like the best. Timothy 3:1-5 speaks of the end times and what the majority of people will be like. In verse 5 of the Holman Christian standard Bible, it states "holding to the form of religion but denying its power". The important thing to remember is that worship and religion is not to change for man, but man for God. I hope this helps. |
