1 | Who are the lost sheep of israel? | Matt 21:23 | AdamantLobster32 | 151317
The lost sheep of israel are the decendants of Abraham that had failed to head Gods commandments and neglected the weighter provisions of the law Matthew 23:23 Christ first commisioned them to spread the gospel to the Jews only, when the Jews rejected Him, He then told them to go to all the nations. Matt 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Matt 28:20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." And also there is a parable of Jesus's that better explans this Matt 21:33 "Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who PLANTED A VINEYARD AND PUT A WALL AROUND IT AND DUG A WINE PRESS IN IT, AND BUILT A TOWER, and rented it out to vine-growers and went on a journey. Matt 21:34 "When the harvest time approached, he sent his slaves to the vine-growers to receive his produce. Matt 21:35 "The vine-growers took his slaves and beat one, and killed another, and stoned a third. Matt 21:36 "Again he sent another group of slaves larger than the first; and they did the same thing to them. Matt 21:37 "But afterward he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' Matt 21:38 "But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.' Matt 21:39 "They took him, and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. Matt 21:40 "Therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine-growers?" Matt 21:41 They *said to Him, "He will bring those wretches to a wretched end, and will rent out the vineyard to other vine-growers who will pay him the proceeds at the proper seasons." Matt 21:42 Jesus *said to them, "Did you never read in the Scriptures, 'THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone; THIS CAME ABOUT FROM THE LORD, AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN OUR EYES'? Matt 21:43 "Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it. Matt 21:44 "And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust." Matt 21:45 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they understood that He was speaking about them. Matt 21:46 When they sought to seize Him, they feared the people, because they considered Him to be a prophet. Ps 118:22 The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief corner stone. I hope this answeres your question. Here is some more verse that is relevant and quite inspirational, especially in its entire content. Eph 2:11 Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called "Uncircumcision" by the so-called "Circumcision," which is performed in the flesh by human hands-- Eph 2:12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Eph 2:14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, Eph 2:15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, Eph 2:16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. Eph 2:17 AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR; Eph 2:18 for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. Eph 2:19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, Eph 2:20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, Eph 2:21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, Eph 2:22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit. |

3 | why go to a doctor for healing | Bible general Archive 2 | AdamantLobster32 | 151208
Be very carefull in your studies on this matter. One can only decern that we must never tempt the Lord, especially when it comes to our health. Sometimes we must look at the history of things in order to better interpret scriptural meanings and I believe in this instance that is the case. In 2 Corinthians 12:7 Paul makes a statement to those at the church in Corinth that he had an ailment. If we look at the greek in this passage (dealing with weakness) we can only surmise that the demon in which he mentions is a phisical ailment a thorn in his flesh.Think of the faith this man had and yet still suffered from illness. He traveled with a doctor. It is also history that Timothy was a physician at least as close as one could be to one in that era. I feel it would be greatly foolish for one to slice open his arm and then pray to God to heal it with out putting a bandage on it, if you are wiiling to test Gods will to that extream then you should be very aware of how strong your faith realy is. I believe that some medicine is bad and that some is good and I also believe that not all sickness is a curse though some is. There were many that Christ healed and many he didnt, and it is not up to us to know his will. God will do all things for us if we ask of Him, but we are still required to make the choice or take the first step. But please dont confuse absolute faith with going to a doctor, because none of us are worthy and we will all fail Him and deny Him at some point, so if we rely on faith alone with out knowledge of the body then we will eventually get sick and die. The Lord told us to seek Him in science (so to speak) and I think that although medicine has vered from that endevor on most fronts it is still a means of learning more about Him and His creation on all fronts.
