1 | Why persistence instead of shamelessness | Luke 11:8 | Ace Tech | 30308
I misunderstood. My assumption was that the NASB was the default english translation used in this forum and, secondly, I thought the translators themselves were involved in answering applicable questions. Obviously this is not the case. Please accept my apologies for the question. Do you know how a may redirect my question to the appropriate source via the internet?

Please give a full explanation why the translators use the word "persistence" when the literal rendering of "shamelessness" seems to makes more sense.
3 | Hebrew for cultivate in 2:5, 2:15, 3:23 | Gen 2:5 | Ace Tech | 17875
Thank you for an excellent translation. One of the features of the NASB I like is the extensive centre column note system. My question has to do with the word "cultivate" in Gen. 2:15 and 3:23. In Gen. 2:5 "cultivate" appears with a notation indicating "Lit. work or serve." No such notation appears for the same word used in 2:15 and 3:23. Does this mean that a different Hebrew word is used in Gen. 2:5 than in 2:15 and 3:23?
