That body was,a litte lower than the angels, as Hebrews 2:9 says "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man." What significance would it have alongside powerful angels in Heaven? Plus, according to Hebrews 10:10 Jesus offered up that body, why would he take it back? "By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." I wonder where these oddball teachings come from? I have never even heard this one before??? I assume writers for TV evangelists or books think these things up, looking to "add to" the simple truth the bible teaches and interest the intellectual ones? Then, [I assume] certain churches pick up these teachings and individuals, such as yourself learn them? The pharisees added much to the law and the people of that time believed and followed their additions as well. Jesus, of course, rebuked them for what they did. |

I was just making a personal statement when I said "Christ "went back to being a spirit creature, when the need for a body came to an end". " not quoting a scripture. You make a good point when you mention how his disciples saw him alive after his resurrection. If you read the surrounding text in those scriptures, you will see he was not appearing in the body he had when he died, that's why they did not recognize him. Timothy, not recognizing him, had to go to great extremes to believe this unfamiliar person was Jesus.I just went and read 1 Corinthians 15 and starting in verse 51 it explains that a person going to heaven changes from a corrutible fleshly body to an incorruptable immortal being. I see nothing to reach the odd conclusion, that the Heavens has air breathing, eating, drinking, human beings walking around? |

Hmmmm, the scripture you referred to "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption." was not intended to be picked apart. It was simply stating that Heaven is a spirit realm and human bodies are niether needed, nor could they function as intended by God there. Jesus did not need a body to take back to Heaven with him. He was a spirit creature before he came to Earth and went back to being a spirit creature, when the need for a body came to an end. The scriptures simply say that Jesus was in Heaven at the right hand of God. Nothing needs to be added to these scriptures. No disrespect intended. |

I agree, love is not exclusive of obedience to God. However,( Respectfully ) I think Jesus believed that Love was the first and second of what his father expects from us, King James Version (KJV) Mark 12:28 28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? Mark 12:29 29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: Mark 12:30 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. Mark 12:31 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. |

Jesus was a Jew. He lived according to the law, as did his apostles [ also Jews ]. The only difference being, he lived the law as God meant it to be, not just by the "added to" rules of the Pharisees etc. "New American Standard Bible (NASB) 23"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others." The law ended as such, with the death of the messiah, Jesus death. THEN, the apostles were no longer a part of Jewish religion, but true Christians. Romans 10:4 |

Hello. In answer to part 1 of your question: Actually if a man and a woman deliberately had sexual relations during her menstrual impurity, they were cut off in death. (Le 18:19; 20:18) The prohibiting of sexual union during menstruation probably contributed to health, as did many of the laws, perhaps preventing, for instance, the occurrence of inflammation in the genital area, simple urethritis. The Israelites also may have been reminded of the sanctity of blood (Deut 11:23-25) (Acts 14:19, 20) by the Law’s regulations involving menstruation or blood flow. These rules were not discriminatory against women, for men were subject to uncleanness by discharges to which they were prone. (Le 15:1-17) Especially did regulations concerning menstruation show God’s consideration for womankind and a loving Christian husband, would consider how his wife felt about having relations while bleeding. The Christian husband, though he is not under the Law (Ro 6:14; Eph 2:11-16), also does well to consider his wife’s cycles and vicissitudes, dwelling with her “according to knowledge” and assigning her honor “as to a weaker vessel, the feminine one.”—1Pe 3:7. I hope this helps? As to part 2 of your question, I don't know off hand. It is curious, but probably not of great importants? |

Hello, I just checked that site out and did not see what I am speaking of. I want a site where you put in a scripture and select perhaps 5 or 6 different translations and when you click "search" you see all 5 translations of that scripture. Thanks for your input though. | ||||||

I am looking for a site that I once had, that offered a search option of putting in a scripture and getting it in a number of different translations-not just 2 or 3. Anyone know where that is at?? Thank you and may God bless your search for truth, amidst so many thousands of possible denominations! |
