1 Did Mary Magdalene see the risen Christ John schimc 141766
Thank you for your response. It helps to read it as if it is a summation of the events. Then it makes more since. The skeptics have a real problem with the author’s accounts. I have to admit I was taken in by some of it and it hasn't helped me spiritually. But I have found almost all of the critics to be looking for loopholes instead of looking for truth. Thanks again.

2 Inspired by God? Matthew schimc 109887
I do not think I responded to you earlier, but I must say that I was elated to read your response. I was certainly fooled into believe that it read the other way around. I just wanted to say thanks. You made my week!

4 Inspired by God? Matthew schimc 109409
Thanks again Tim, by brother who originated these arguments will probably not agree with your last assessment, and I'm not sure I do either. It still doesn't fit. But the rest of your arguments are excellent. And I can be left with the last problem (the Peter account) as something to be left on the shelf for now and not dealt with. I will, however, do some more studying on that issue, as well as the others. You have made my day!

p.s. In my previous question I said there were other arguments that I did not write about. What I should have said is that there were other questions my brother had, that we had already agreed were not problems at all.

He was thinking that Matthew was saying that Mary Magdelene witnessed the stone being removed from the tomb. But we already have cleared that up.

I'm not exactly sure what is going on with my brother, but I do know that he has got me going as well. Not that I have lost faith, but I have been shaken on some issues since a couple of weeks before Christmas. By the grace of God and people like yourself. I'm getting by on track. It has been a great experience and blessing. I hope the Holy Spirit guides my brother back as well.

Thanks again!

5 Why believe in the physical Ressurection Matthew schimc 109228
Ok, then you are agreeing that the author took human privileges when writing the account. And as far as the account goes, it was not exactly inspired by God. Doesn't that open up quite a bit of the gospel for interpretation?

This is not to confuse or argue, this is however, extremely important information when trying to convert the lost.

Wouldn't you agree?

9 virgin birth Matt 1:19 schimc 108028
Very true, but then again, there are so many skeptics out there that I like to be prepared. I usually do not read the material that trys to mislead, but my brother, whom I love dearly, is really scaring me about his beliefs now. He is so confused that I needed something to go on. He has gone from Catholic, to conservative, to liberal, and back to Catholic. That would probably confuse anyone. But he, being a very sincere and loving person, gets very turned off by Churches that make him feel like they have all the answers. Now he's in a Bible study with a group who are all fundamentalist.

I have been worried about him for sometime now, but have kept my mouth shut. After all, he has done much more spirtitual reading than I have, and I know he loves God above all others. But he may be as you have said, way to open minded for his own good.

We have another brother who was baptized as an adult, but now is so bitterly opposed to anything religious that it is even more scary.

Thank you Indy for taking the time to respond.

10 Virgin Birth Myth Matt 1:19 schimc 108025
I have no problem whatsover with your first response. Sometimes one sentance or even a paragraph doesn't really answer a question anyway. And a book to read that is inspiring and helps answer the question is fine by me. I can assure you I am not wanting to disbelieve the Bible. I had a serious question and I feel that most of the responses I got were excellant. I felt the same of yours.

Thanks again.

11 completeness of the bible. Rev 22:18 schimc 107876
Ray, I am a new subscriber. I have read many of your responses. I am particularly interested in questions about the virgin birth. I am not a new believer. I have recently read many disturbing contrasts related to the virgin birth story. I was hoping you could help me with my quest for answers concerning this very controversial story.

Also, please update me on your battle with cancer.
