1 | Did the Holy Spirit depart from Christ? | Matt 27:46 | ibelieve | 18957
Jesus suffered all things that we suffer in this life so he had to suffer spiritual death so yes the Holy Spirit had to depart from him. That is why he said into your hands i commend my spirit talking to the Father. The reason he was so wise is because he was born of the seed of the Holy Spirit and the egg of mary. He was not born into spiritual death like we are but had to suffer it later at the cross when he took on our sins. He was baptised in the Holy Spirit the same way we are after we get saved. He did not have to be saved because he was without sin so the SPIRIT OF GOD could indwell him . |

2 | John 17-24 | John 17:24 | ibelieve | 17437
Jesus is speaking in John 17 of the glory that he had with God before the world was. Then he gives this glory to us that we may be one with the Father even as he is one with him. This is not for heaven but when we are still on earth this glory is to let us do greater things than Jesus did because he went to the Father. We are seated with Christ at the right hand of the Father, it does not say we will be seated later. When we behold that glory that the Father has given him then and only then will we understand the authority that we are supposed to be walking in here on the earth.
3 | be obedient in all things | 2 Cor 2:9 | ibelieve | 17124
Being obedient will not bring salvation but it will come only thru the relationship we have with God. Jesus was obedient unto death only because he knew God and trusted him with his spirit when he said into your hands i commend my Spirit. He knew that God would raise him up when it was time. It is the same with perfection it only comes with relationship with the living God. |

5 | to whom does the word perfect refer? | 1 Cor 13:10 | ibelieve | 17122
This whole chapter is speaking of the love of God that is given to us. When we love as Christ loves then we are perfect in him. This is the better way he has shown us and tells us to walk in. When we come face to face with God and he is love then i know that love and as it says in 13-12 of Cor. that is how i will be known. That love is shed abroad in our heart. Greater love hath a man than to lay down his life for another doesn't just mean to die for another. It is also speaking of laying down my desires and wants and yielding to what God wants and desires for me and for others. That is the perfection that is coming to the church and to those that the Lord has called which is all of us. |
