1 Is salvation by faith only scriptural? James 2:14 Grace and Truth 54600
Faith alone, is not, and never has been a bible concept.
Let's take a look a the book of Heb.11:8 and compare it with Romans 4, here in romans 4 Paul was asking the question about what Abraham our father had found? Abraham was called out of Ur to go into a land that God would show him and he went not knowing where he was going, (That's Faith), he packed up his belonging and went! (action). I disguss this with others on this forum, and they insisted that it was (faith alone), what needs to be understood is when God tell us to do something, we must do it no matter what it is.
God through his Son Jesus Christ left us word from the apostles, who preached on the day of Pentecost, and said "Repent and be baptized EVERY ONE OF YOU in the Name Of Jesus Christ",(Acts 4:12 is where SALVATION IS) (Acts 2:38). (Action) is to follow one's faith, Acts 2:41 Then they that GLADLY RECEIVED HIS WORDS WERE BAPTIZED: AND THE SAME DAY THERE WERE ADDED UNTO THEM ABOUT THREE THOUSND SOULS.
(ACTION) (ACTION) (ACTION) This happens when one gladly receive God's word! (Gladly).

You mentioned how many times something is repeated, this happen to be the end of the gospel according to Mark, the question is, does this ending agree with the other three endings? I think it does agree with the others, and the day of Pentecost sermon that Peter preached.
3 Eternal Security is it possible? 2 Tim 1:12 Grace and Truth 54596
Matt 25:14-30 Here Jesus shows us as servants we can get or selves cast into outer darkness.
Romans 8:34-39 is God's love toward us, which is in Christ Jesus. Matt 25:31-46 In his kingdom there are two classes of people, those who did the will of the Father and those who did not to the will of the Father. Also Matt 7:21-23,24-27
Where did you build your house on a rock or on the sand? Then Matt 25:1-13 The foolish virgins, the lesson is we have our names written in the Lambs book of life, and if we do not do the Father's will our names can be blotted out of the book of life Rev 21:27, 3:4-6 If you don't overcome your name can be blotted out of the book of Life.vs5 Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall TAKE AWAY HIS PART OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE, AND OUT OF THE HOLY CITY, AND FROM THE THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THIS BOOK.
When men say things like baptism has nothing to do with one's salvation they are making a dangerous mistake! Making statements saying that Mark 16:9-20 is not inspired! Rev 22:19 should change your minds!
4 Why was Christ baptized? NT general Archive 1 Grace and Truth 54261
I believe that we learn more from the baptism of Jesus than what is listed in answer to this question. 1John 5:4-9, Romans 6:1-23,
Jesus's baptism shows us his death, burial and resurrection, as stated in romans 6 ch., Then 1John 5:4-9, mainly vs.6 says "This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ, not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
Most think that H2O has no part in our salvation, but they forgot when Jesus may mention to Nicodemus that you Must be Born Again, Jesus said it would have to be by water and of the Spirit, to enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:3-12.
Then when Jesus was on the cross for our sins, and one of the soldiers in John 19:34 with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. H2O, 1John 5:8 tells us that "there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. Meaning you cannot seperate them, they all work together. Yes H2O has something to do with our salvation, weather we like it or not! This is why the chief priest and the elders would not answer the question Jesus asked them, about the baptism of John, is it from heaven or of men? Matt 21:23-27.
We are washed in the blood of the Lamb, How? When we are Baptized in (water)(H2O) for the remission of our sins. Mark 1:4 tells us that John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be Baptized Every One Of You In The NAME OF JESUS CHRIST (FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS), and ye shall receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit.
Remission of sins when one is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. This is the Grace of God through Faith, in which we are saved, some may not believe it, but that doesn't make not true!

7 Was it complete? Bible general Archive 1 Grace and Truth 54231
Is it because I proved the point about your view on Mark 16:9-20, that you call spurious and that you believe it to be posit?
8 Was it complete? Bible general Archive 1 Grace and Truth 54230
Read the post from Hank, on this issue, to understand what it's all about!
9 Once saved, aways saved doctrine refuted Matt 10:1 Grace and Truth 54214
To your knowledge, did this person have the Holy Spirit?
10 Was it complete? Bible general Archive 1 Grace and Truth 54213
If you or anybody else question what you read in the bible, as you all believe,"Anyone with even an elementary knowledge of Mark's Gospel knows that verses 9-20 of Chapter 16 have long been disputed, that there are extant some four possible endings, and that many scholars feel that these verses may indeed be spurious, because they do not appear in many of the best manuscripts that are extant. (There are no surviving original autographs of any books of Scripture)..... Now, surely you can understand that what Tim has posted and what I have posted regarding the facts of this issue do not constitute in any manner whatever an unbelief in the inspiration of God's word. What we have said -- and all we have said -- is that this portion of Mark's Gospel has been disputed by biblical scholars, and that there are strong reasons to posit that these verses did not appear in the original autograph that Mark penned..... This is a far cry from your original accusation that I did not believe the Bible was inspired. Now that you have the facts straight, I hope, do you still "stand"
I do still stand on my word, You use the word (spurious) meaning not genuine;false or illegitimate! And you used the word (Posit) which means: to suppose to be a fact. With that in mind, you are saying not INSPIRED! Not such a far cry is it?
11 Eternal Security is it possible? 2 Tim 1:12 Grace and Truth 54211
(stoke) misspelled, lol, I meant stroke of his pin.
12 Eternal Security is it possible? 2 Tim 1:12 Grace and Truth 54210
  Matt 7:21-23
We find those who say Lord, Lord, will not be able to enter the kingdom of heaven!
You state, "A failure to grow spiritually can also rob us of the confidence that we are God's children (2 Peter 1:9). But anyone indwelt by the Holy Spirit is secure eternally, because He is the "deposit guaranteeing our inheritance" (Ephesians 1:14)".' How can you say this when you believe that the moment one excepts Jesus into their heart, their saved. And where are these different classes of believers coming from?
You say once saved aways saved! Now you say they have to be true believers or true christians, How can that be? You also say that one receives the Holy Spirit the moment they believed, then you say they were not or never really saved to begin with. How is that?
13 Eternal Security is it possible? 2 Tim 1:12 Grace and Truth 54203
The false teachers had followers, vs.2,3. verse 20 saids they were once followers, and (they are again entangled), vs 21 "For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to (turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. They turned from following Christ!
14 Eternal Security is it possible? 2 Tim 1:12 Grace and Truth 54134
Also in 2 Peter 2:20 For if (after) they have escaped the pollutions of the world (through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ), they are again entangle therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been (better) for them (not) to have known the way of righteousness, than, (after) they have known it, to (turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them). Then in 2 Peter 3:11-17 you must read carefully, vs.11 says; what manner of persons ought ye to be? vs. 14 "be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. vs.17 "beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness".
Now surely you can understand this next verse in Rev.3:5 Jesus said: He that (overcometh), the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and (I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels). If this verse don't make it clear to you then nothing will.
You can lose it all with the stoke of his pin!
2 John 1:8,9,11.
Matt 24:45-51,25:1-30,7:21-23.
15 Once saved, aways saved doctrine refuted Matt 10:1 Grace and Truth 54101
  3. Grew and was unfruitful. Possibly a believer.
Either this person is in or out, there is no middle ground.
If in, Jesus said this person is now lost forever. true or false?

This make faith only impossible, because you don't know the hearts of men, and I know you to have seen folks start out strong in the Lord, witnessing and preaching and everything, then something happens to them and they fall away.

Is this true from your experience?
I have seen some come back to the Lord to.
