| Salvation is easy (it's unearned!) but following Christ (Paul's race) is difficult. The Bible doesn't contradict itself, but it has some more than a few paradoxes and opposing tensions. Your embryo metaphor makes the opposite point of of Jesus's own seed parable.... seeds on rocky soil, shallow roots etc. Growth is needed would seem to be the point. But I'm sure there are umteen verses in Galations and Romans that would easily counter that point. My yoke is easy?....... Hmmm. |
