1 Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? Gen 18:28 TOFT 12256
  Hi,

You have to consider there may have not been any children there. And if there were maybe they were older and involved in the sins of Sodom. Though I WILL NOT question God's judgement, because He is Just and it a WHOLE lot smarter than me.

2 What is the gospel? Bible general Archive 1 TOFT 12124
  Hi,

He is talking about what He has taught. For example, he taught about salvation, marriage, sin and many other topics. These are the things we need to spread.

3 married men Matt 5:32 TOFT 11765
  Hi,

I wouldn't reconmend it. What is it going to lead to? Marriage? If he gets a divorce (for any other reason than adultery) and that person marrys him it is adultery. And the Bible says adulterers go to hell. I would not reconmend it. This person is married and shouldn't even think of it. Marriage is binding and is sacred. It makes two people into one. I would classify as a date with a married man as adultery, because the man/woman is probably lusting after the other person.

Hope this helps,

4 What do you do with stangers you meet? Heb 13:2 TOFT 11679
  Hi,

Well I try to be friendly.

We should be a good neighbor.

Pray for them. Continue to be nice to them.

What are you talking about!? You wanted a stranger to clean your bathtub!? Please explain. How did you entertain him? Don't mean to offend you by asking these questions.

5 Are the Nephilim descendants of Adam? Gen 6:4 TOFT 11674
  Hi,

Yes they are descendants of Adam and Eve. Everyone is, because Adam and Eve were the first humans. Look at Number 13:32-33
"So they gave out to the sons of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone, in spying it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size. There also we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim); and we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."
Apparently they are human giants in Numbers and I think that they are human giants in Genesis too. So if they're humans they came from Adam and Eve, whom God created.

6 Be perfect? Matt 5:48 TOFT 11671
  Hi,

What it means is for us to try to be as perfect as we can. We need to try our hardest to be like God and Christ.

7 Cherubim Ezekiel TOFT 11584
  Hi,

We as humansa make images of things. This would be an image of men. Though not correct, because angels seem to be adults (Look at Genesis 18:2, 22 and Genesis 19:1), this is the image of the artists. The artists are trying, I believe, to make an image of innocense.

8 The message at the wedding at Cana? John 2:1 TOFT 11582
  Hi,

I don't really see a message in these verses other than this was Jesus' first sign. This sign was put into the book of John that we might believe (John 20:31 "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.").

11 Was it Paran or Kadesh Barnea? Num 13:3 TOFT 11569
  Hi,

I think the Wilderness of Paran is in Kadesh Barnea. Look at Numbers 13:26 which reads,
"they proceeded to come to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation of the sons of Israel in the wilderness of *Paran*, at *Kadesh*; and they brought back word to them and to all the congregation and showed them the fruit of the land."

12 Eggs for cash: Help! Bible general Archive 1 TOFT 11552
  Hi,

What is the motivation here? Helping others or the money? If it is the money I would say that's the wrong reason. Without love, it is nothing. Does she know who she's donating to? Is she doing it out of love for that person? If not, what does it profit her? Will she preach out of love to the person she is donating to? If not, what's the point? I would not go with this, because I believe that her eggs are hers because God gave them to her, no one else. I think she shouldn't sell them. And I'm betting if she does she will regret it for the rest of her life.

13 Why does this happen?????? Bible general Archive 1 TOFT 11551
  Hi,

Those people that do so and don't repent will be punished for their wrongful acts. As to why God lets this happen, I don't really know. But I do know that God is a lot smarter than us and can see a lot more things than we can. It could benefit the child in some way, that God only knows.

14 Was Jesus ONLY son or daughter of Mary? Bible general Archive 1 TOFT 11547
  Hi,

Yes. Jesus did have blood relatives. Look at Mark 3:31-32 and Mark 6:1-3

Mark 3:31-32 "Jesus' mother and brothers arrived at the house where he was teaching. They stood outside and sent word for him to come out and talk with them. There was a crowd around Jesus, and someone said, "Your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside, asking for you."

Mark 6:1-3 "Jesus left that part of the country and returned with his disciples to Nazareth, his hometown. The next Sabbath he began teaching in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished. They asked, "Where did he get all his wisdom and the power to perform such miracles? He's just the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon. And his sisters live right here among us." They were deeply offended and refused to believe in him"

15 Can one who commits suicide be saved? Mark 3:28 TOFT 11321
  Hi All,

One who commits suicide is both a murderer and a selfish human. The Bible condemns murder and says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and *murderers* and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." Though nothing is to hard for the LORD (Jeremiah 32"17). The LORD is the judge, I am not. God will say if he or she who commits suicide is going to Heaven or Hell, I will not.
