1 about how God is the provider Gen 22:8 tamarack 203567
There's two levels to God's provision here. One is a foreshadowing of the perfect Lamb, Jesus, Whom God Himself provides as the ultimate offering. The other level has to do with the provision of faith that Abraham has; he's not evading Isaac's question, or stalling for time. Abraham trusts that provision will be made for the offering even though he knows that God has told him to use Isaac. Abraham's vision exceeds that of the moment and all apparent circumstances; he trusts God. For us today, we might feel like we're in a situation where there can absolutely be no provision beyond that which we ourselves provide, but we can remember Abraham's walk of faith and realize that God is able to make provision when all circumstances seem to say that it's impossible.
