tim ok. God saved His people ... but that was before Christ gave us salvation. my understanding is that if we are truly saved, then future sins do not condemn us. so what is paul warning about? we cannot lose that salvation. we will always be sinners. that is our nature. so this can't be warning us not to sin. according to romans thats not possible. |

i can understand the warning to avoid sin. my problem arises when it is now talking to people who have been saved... and thus have eternal life. what is it warning against? or is it saying this to those who "think" they are saved but have not truly committed to Christ? | ||||||

i'm not sure how people dying of a plague is a warning. i can understand that sin will be punished. but death to a christian is eternal life. my commentary says this is a warning but i don't see how. am i missing something? | ||||||

in 1 cor 15:29Now if there is no resurrection, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are people baptized for them? 30And as for us, why do we endanger ourselves every hour? what is this baptism for the dead? |
