1 Why wasn't Barnabas judged for his sin? Acts 4:37 dweaver 175400
In Acts 4:36 and 37 we have the account of Barnabas, a Levite, who had land Levites were NOT to own land and sold it and brought the proceeds to the Apostles.

In Chapter 5 we have the story of Annanias and Sapphira dying for their hypocrisy in keeping back part of the proceeds of the sale of their property and acting as thought they gave it all.

Why was their sin greater than Barnabas? Barnabas sinned by owning land. Levites were not to own land. Why didn't he die and why did Annanias and Sapphira die?
2 Were the Israelites starving Also? Gen 46:26 dweaver 133844
When the great famine of Egypt was happening during Joseph's time of ruling, did the Israelites experience the famine also in Goshen or were they affected by the famine also.

I don't see where the Israelites came to Joseph to buy food, only the Egyptians.

Looking for clarification.

Is there any writings outside of the Scriptures that shed any light on what happened to Dinah, (Genesis 30:21 and Genesis 34) the daughter that Jacob had who was the central figure in the destruction of Shechem?

6 Were Angels created Holy? Bible general Archive 2 dweaver 104670
Does the Bible mention anything about the Angels being created holy or good?

I reference Genesis 1:31 where Moses writes, "Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good...

Someone has noted that this verse applies to the creation of Angels as well. Can someone help me.

Thanks

7 The Church's response to Active Sin NT general Archive 1 dweaver 93110
In 1 Cor. 5:1-13, Paul uses some very direct language regarding how the church should handle members who are actively engaged in homosexuality. My question is this. Are there any other references in the Bible giving guidance regarding how to deal with a member who is actively engaged in any other sin? I'm specifically looking for any text that says we are "not to keep company with" members who are actively engaged in sinful practices of any other kind?
8 Was Satan on the earth prior to Creation Gen 1:1 dweaver 74383
I'm not talking about Armegeddon. I'm concerned with what was happening around creation. Was the earth being "without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of th deep" a reference to Satan being cast down to this earth and causing havoc until God decided to intervene and give it its present shape, structure and order? This is my question. I know that Satan was in the Garden of Eden because he "entered into the serpant" and deceived Eve.
9 Timing of Satan's Fall Gen 1:1 dweaver 74283
Is there any reference in scripture to give an indication of the timing of Satan's fall relative to the creation? I know Satan had at least come upon the earth after it was created and entered into the serpent. What I really would like to know is, Could Satan have been present during the creation? It would seem to me that this battle for position occurred prior to the events described in 1:1, however, I can't prove it.

10 How did James know about Forest Fires James 3:5 dweaver 67688
In the Book of James, James mentions how a little fire sets on fire a great forest.

How would James have known about forest fires? Are there areas of large forests in Israel?
11 Doing God's will in Heaven? Matt 6:10 dweaver 36885
When Jesus, in the Lord's Prayer, prayed "Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven," what did He mean by "as it is in heaven." Did he mean that in Heaven God is pretty much in charge and everyone is excited about doing His will?
12 Asking, Seeking , Knocking?? Matt 7:7 dweaver 36828
In this verse, what are we asking, seeking and knocking for? Is it the Kingdom, is it blessings, is it Spiritual Eyes, which enables us to see our relationship with God from a Spiritual perspective? Secondly how can the application be made to enable one to take this verse literally?
13 Kingdom of God Spiritual or Phisical? Bible general Archive 1 dweaver 36826
Jesus talked much about qualifications for entering his kingdom. For example, He said, "Unless we become as little children, you cannot enter"; "It is harder for a rich person to enter the kingdom than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle", etc. My question is, "Is the Kingdom of God a spiritual Kingdom, one that is viewed or experienced vith Spiritual Eyes only, not a physical kingdom? Or is Kingdom living primarily about an attitude of the heart?
14 Go or Come to Noah to Enter Ark Gen 7:1 dweaver 34104
I'm trying to understand the difference between how some versions treat God's call to Noah to "enter" the Ark. Some translations use "go" and some use "come". Could someone shed some light on this discrepancy. It seems to make some difference. What was the sense of the original text?
