1 Why the Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem Gen 1:1 dalida 81174
In the story of the Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem, why did Jesus choose to do this? He obviously knew the prophecy, so was he only doing it to fulfil the prophecy or was there a deeper reason?
2 What does last part of Genesis 3:16 mean Bible general Archive 1 dalida 80399
In Genesis 3:16, what is meant by Gods' directive to Eve when he said, "Your desire "shall be" for your husband, and he shall "rule" over you? I am preaching through Genesis right now and I would like some enlightenment on this passage. Thanks
3 Where is the Fall of Satan recorded ? Ezek 28:1 dalida 79629
Where in the Bible does it say that Satan was an angel and decided to be as God so God cast him out of heaven to earth. I know the Revelations 12 passage but that refers to the future. Also, as a second part of the question, If Satan introduced sin and evil to the earth, where did sin and evil come from before Satan fell. In other words, how did he sin when there wasn't any temptor prior to Satan?

Thanks
4 When was Man created? Gen 2:5 dalida 76629
In Genesis 1 Moses tells us that God brought forth grasses, herbs, trees, etc on day 3 and that he created Man on day 6. However, in chapter 2 vs. 4--7, Moses says, "This is the history before any plant of the field and before any herb, etc. and God breathed into man the breath of life. Can you help clear up this mystery for me.

5 Holy Spirit Present at Creation? Gen 1:2 dalida 74519
Is there any verse in the Bible that alludes to the Holy Spirit's being present at creation? I always believed that "the Spirit of God" in Genesis 1:2 was the Holy Spirit, but now I'm not so sure.

I'm trying to understand whether I can build a case for the trinity being introduced at creation.
6 How Old was Jesus when Magi Visited? NT general Archive 1 dalida 71316
In the story of the Magi (Matt. 2), what writings do we have to tell us about how old Jesus was at the time. Also, some commentators say this was around 4 BC based on when Herod the Great was ruler and he died in 4 BC. I'm confused regarding when "BC" switched to "AD". Can you clear both of these items up for me?

Thanks
7 Did God actually die on the cross? Gen 22:8 dalida 66361
Is it sound theology to read into "God will provide for Himself the lamb" a future look at Jesus ultimate sacrifice on the cross as "God actually being the sacrificial lamb?" I know that Jesus was God become man, I just wanted some assurance that reading this verse in this manner is correct. Thanks for the help.
8 God can't sin? Ps 93:5 dalida 64672
Besides the reference in James 1:13, what other references are there to show that God cannot be tempted to sin? I know in my heart that he can't sin but I want to prove it from scripture.

Thanks

Dale
9 Ninevah's Repentance Relevant to Today? Jon 3:5 dalida 62351
What is the significance of this reference to the church today? Here is a city of sinful wicked people, whom God (someone they don't even know)announces he's going to destroy. They chose to believe! Does this story have relevence to the church today in a call deeper, proactive faith? If so, how?
