| Matthew 25:31-46 tells us of the judgement Christ will give based on our works of feeding, housing, clothing, and visiting the poor and needy. I have always thought that salvation was based soley on acceptance of Christ as Redeemer, but in this verse Jesus clearly states that eternal punishment awaits those who do not perform these works.
