Greetings Songbird, Genesis 3:21 When Adam and Eve sinned it changed the whole dynamic of everything spiritually and physically. The connection they had with God was broken. Then there was physical death.Blood had to be shed to cover their sin. Before the fall there is no indication of any kind of meat eating. We dont see it until after the fall. 205 | Main principle behind sacrifices? | Gen 3:21 | lionheart | 214732
johnramz, In a manner of speaking this is where it started. In Gen 3:21 God had to shed blood to cover the sin of Adam and Eve. We see in the five books of Moses the part that the shedding of was to play in the forgiveness of sin (ours). Thus the OT sacrifices. Which culminates with the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. I don't know where you are at in your study of God's Word but the Gospels will be the best place to start. If I can help feel free to contact me at any time. 207 | Why did God block access to the tree of | Gen 3:24 | lionheart | 157224
C.S.M. greetings, This is huge and something that a lot of us have never given serious thought. If Adam and Eve had eaten of the tree of life they would have been eternally lost. Mans, our salvation was on the line. Putting Adam and Eve out of the garden was the most loving thing God could do for them and us. In doing so God ensured the progress of his plan for his peopleand us today. What God did had nothing to do with fear and everything to to do with His love for us and his ability to carry through on all his plans. In Christ, lionheart |

208 | God's Regard for Cain's Offering? | Gen 4:5 | lionheart | 205997
stoneslinger, Good to have you here. It states early on in Gods Word that without the shedding of blood there was no forgiveness of sin, I believe Gen 3:19 is strong evidence. What we can take away from this account of Cain and Abel is that Abbel brought his best before God while Cain did not. Fast forward to the present, God gave his best when He sent His Son for us. This says a whole lot about what the attitude of our hearts should be everyday as we offer up our lives to God. When I read the account of Cain and Abel I see the lengths at which God will go for his people. Cain could have and would have been right with God if he had only dealt with his heart and God left the door open for him to do so. Repententence is an amazing thing, it's to bad that we wait until we are faced with the consequences of our sin before we will wake up and smell the coffee. |

215 | witnessing to church going homosexuals | Gen 9:25 | lionheart | 206271
Jim, I don't know and don't wanna know politically correct. I'm probably the most politically incorect individual you will ever meet. As for the forum, it's never been about being politically correct, it has been and still is about the truth. Not mine, not yours or anyone elses, We gotta allow God's Word to speak for itself and it does an outstanding job of doing that without us adding or subtracting anything from it. (2 Pt 1:20,21) In Him, lionheart |

216 | HOW DO YOU KNOW HE NOT A BELIEVER | Gen 11:6 | lionheart | 200235
Hey Doc, Well said my friend. We rely so much on labels these days, I wonder sometimes what ever happened to just going to the bible and seeing what God's Word says. To be frankly honest I find it easier to understand God's Word than allot of the labels or terms people will hang on people or things. In Him, lionheart |

217 | do we have to give tith? | Gen 14:20 | lionheart | 140662
Lisa G, Bless your heart sister I could not have put it any better myself.Paul makes mention on more than one occasion of peoples giving in support of him and his ministry. Nothing comes free, our salvation cost God his dearest blood. I am acutely aware of that this day, 13 months ago I suuffered a major heart attack. It is by Gods manifold grace and mercy that I'm still here. I shouldnt be but thank God I am. As a result I am now retired. It took a significant amount of time to get things done. During that time the brothers and sisters from the Pastor on down really stepped up to the plate for me. I will be eternaly grateful to God for their love support and compassion. Read Acts 2:44,45 This is what I've been living for the last 8 years. This how it worked back in the first century church. When someone was in need the beleivers banded together and helped them. Can we do any less today. It is encumbent on each of us to support the fellowships where we worship and those who lay down there lives for us on a daily basis. So my brothers and sisters the next time the plate comes around or the call for help goes out remember how much God has done done for you and do a 2Corinthians 9:7,8. Again thank you so much Lisa. Your brother in Christ lionheart |

219 | KJV question | Gen 34:19 | lionheart | 203577
Hank, A very sensible and succinct answer. The thing that's had me scratching my head over the whole issue of KJV only with some individuals who hold to this position is that they treat the subject as if KJV is the only valid version or translation of the bible written. There was a time I may have bought into that, thankfully for me no longer. It just convinces me more than ever that we as disciples of Jesus Christ have gotta be workmen of God's Word. 2 Timothy 2:15. In Him, lionheart |
