1281 | freely YOU have recieved... go do likewi | Matt 10:8 | justme | 63023
teragram123: I genuinely enjoy your posts, notes, and questions. Would you consider doing me a personal favor? If you would take a little time to fill something out about yourself in the Upedate User Info, I would really like to know about you. You are interesting and this would help us all. Now about "ministries" charging fees or price amounts. I have seen the cost od church summer camps go up so high that when I a pastor I could not afford to send my own kids! That broke my heart, and my children missed out on what I enjoyed so much in my growing up. I would like to share with you a ministry that has been a part of my life from 1956 to now. This ministry has never asked for a dine. They have followed me while in the United States Navy to all the places I have lived. This ministry has kept me in Gods Word and given me encouragement, and even admonishment when I needed it! The ministry is OUR DAILY BREAD. produced by RBC Ninistries. I was 11 years old when it first came out. I have recieved it with out fail all these years. My life has been blessed. I mentioned this ministry because we all too often focus on people or ministries who do not walk by faith, and it is good to hear of some who do really have a free ministry. In our country now, there are a lot of people who are without jobs, little food, poor housing, and lack needed medicine, or medical attention. I think the odds are we may well see these people with serious needs become overwheling. We may see some of these "ministries" that have expensive luxery automobiles and their own jets, begin to fall by the wayside. We may actually find needs so great that we can not bypass or ignor the poor, as some may be those who "charged for ministry" who's huge incomes dryed up. Now that is something to think about. justme |

1283 | chewing the cud on old hashed stuff? | Ps 26:1 | justme | 62945
Steve: After reading Psalm 26 several times, what you ask is interesting. David in this prayer is reminding the Lord that he has walked in interigrity, and trusted without wavering. David says that his lifestyle will continue. David asks the Lord to redeem and to be gracious to him. Following Davids example, the answer to your question is yes. How does Davids example relate to 63 notes that at times are not setting an example of Davids prayer? I am not asking any vindication from anyone to me. Hostility, or belittling anyone has no vindication. As I understand scripture, such rudeness is something that needs to seek out forgiveness and healing from those who are attacked. I think calling something "Hamkism" is just plain out disrespectfull. Don't you too? This forum is open for all types of people to read. Some are just old "justme's" and others may be looking at what being a Christian is all about. If as scripture says, others will know we are Christians by our love for one another, at times it leaves room for doubt. I stand as guilty as anyone. I will do better. What more can anyone ask? justme |

1285 | CONDITIONAL ETERNAL SECURITY | 2 Pet 1:10 | justme | 62708
Pastor Glen: You are correct that this verse refers to a Christian. The Christian has becone so hard hearted and carnal, that he has gone beyond the point of repentance, not loss of salvation. Paul in 1 Corinthians 5:5 gave instructions to "hand this man over to satan, so that the sinful nature maybe destroyed and has his spirit saved on the day of the Lord." NIV. As I undersand this verse in Hebrews it is a Christian who can not be brought back to repentance. I think if you carefully do a word study of both verses mentioned in this note you might well come to the same conclusion. We are not saved by our works nor are we lost because of the lack of works. Salvation is by Grace plus nothing! Salvation is not withdrawn, but the beliver how has gone beyond being able to repent. This is a very serious spiritual condition. God in His wisdon does remove carnal Christians from this world. Hebrews chapter 12, is an example of what Godly discipline is. The key point of the verse is "being brought back to repentance". We should not ask questions of a verse that it is not dealing with. Simply put, this verse is not dealing with the loss of salvation, only the impossibility of further repenting. I hope this adds something more to think about. justme |

Hank: I sincerely agree to abide with the Forum and its wishes. I regret that I refered to two denomoantions by name. If in reference to thes two denominations offended anyone I offer a genuine extension of remorse and repentance. I pray for your tollerance of my unwise choice of naming any group or churches. My deepest apology, from my heart. Humbly I submit this with Christ love. justme |

1289 | Romans Road verses inorder please? | Romans | justme | 62227
Steve:-) Thank you very much. This is creative, the way you have added to it. I have used several ways to reach out to share the Gospel. The Romans Road has served me the best of all. The 4 Spiritual Laws is too awakward for me, with the train and feelings thing. I dislike "canned" testemonies. However I will say, If you were to die right this minuet and God would ask you, why should I let you into my kingdom? What would you say? This has been a good opener, and gets some really strange answers. One big concern of mine is that many are led to Christ with no follow up. Then they die on the hard ground. I make a point of following up, with personal help or getting a solid church to work with the person. I pray for the people who find Christ, and sometimes keep in touch when possible. Speaking of memorizing the book of Romans; I ment a man from India, Joseph Thomas. His father made him memorize a portion of Romans before he could have his meals. Joseph had many books of the Bible comitted to memory! Joseph had done more memorization than I ever dreamed was possible for anyone to do! Acts, Romans, and several others. Joseph memorized them in KJV. When I met him he was 81 years old, and his mind was sharp as a tack. Joseph's love for the Lord Jesus was as strong as I have ever seen, as well his lover of the Word! Ten years ago was the last time I saw him. I am ashamed of how little I have memorized. I really mean every verse was perfect, as he quoted chapter by chapter, as I read along silently. I would have been a very skinny kid, if eating depended on memorizing scripture. I believe I have instant erase menory, and it gets faster as I grow older. Thank you for your help. justme |

Tim :-) Thank you! I have used the firdt one for many years. This has been the most effective way for me to lead others to Christ. I tried the 4 Spiritual Laws, but I got so bogged down with the train, and feelings and it just was too awakward for me. So thank you so much. justme |

1292 | Which are you? | Rom 9:21 | justme | 62194
I will let the Lord determine how He uses me. Should he use me as a waste basket, potty, or for the most expensive wine, I am His to use as He see's fit. Scripture tells us not to think more highly of ourself, warning that elevated self, b thinking we are high and mighty can bring us to a low position very quickly. I am abiding in the Master. I have been pruned many times. I hope I produce some fruit worthy of the effort the Lord has spent on me. I pray only to be in the center of God's will. What could possibly be better, or best for me than this? justme |

EdB: So would that be a young earth theory? I am not refering to eveloution. No one could despise eveloution as coming right out out of satans mind than me. (I refuse to capitalize the evil ones name giving any crediance to power) In fact when I go by a grave yard, thinking about those who were lost I say "satan be damned!" Have you ever wondered why God is cursed, rather than satan? I have never heared "satan damn" in my entire life! What hartache and pain and evil has brought through the evil one. Never the less I will say "it is well with my soul" as long as I have breath. Thanks to Jesus our Lord. justme |

1295 | Whats up with Judgement, calvinists plz? | Rom 9:21 | justme | 62010
John: In several places Paus referes to those who are asleep in the Lord. 1 Cor.15:51, is one place that refers to this. I find a problem with the idea as what about those bodys that have been destroyed by fire, by accident or for cremation. I do not mean it in a morbid way, it is a theology I have read about. the question of body, soul, and spirit is called a tricodomy and body and spirit or soul is a bicodomy of the three to two. Most people I know believe in two. I don;t want you to work up a sweat over this, but these questions have not been dealy with before, I don;t think. Thanks. justme |

JRdoc:Having studied all four basic views of the Millennium, I am suprised your a Amillennialist. But I can forgive you for it. Please do not link Dispensational Premillialist with promoting the tongues movement. I personally think that making a study through Revelation whoul have so many dihherent points of theological understanding, this forum would be over loaded with defensiveness of the various positions it would be more heartache than value. That's just my opinion. God bless. justme |
