Since childhood the Bible Alone (Sola Scriptura) is our source for truth. Even this belief I can't find it in the bible, it only says "profitable" which is good but it does not says sufficient or enough (again would this be tradition that was made-up by Luther?) Instead I found this verse John 21:25 not everything were written. This kind of bother me when we can give excuses to our traditions that came from our elders (men) but WE CANNOT SEE other's traditions like the Catholics who believed they follow the traditions of the 12 apostles which were handed personally by Jesus himself. 2 Thessalonians 2:15 “Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.” "WORD” preached and "EPISTLE” written 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit Thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also...” ALSO READ THESE VERSES: 2 Timothy 2:2, 1 Corinthians 11:2, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 John 1:12, 3 John 1:13-14 and Acts 2:42 As a Bible Alone believing Christians please support your answers with scriptures only. CHURCHES? hmmmm per Oxford World Christian Encyclopedia April 2001 there were 820,000 Denominations as you can see all of them believed they have the truth (the Bible that is) but none of these competing churches agree on what the Bible says. Besides Jesus promised, "I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it" (Matt. 16:18). He did not say churches? THIS IS NOT MINOR ISSUES BUT REALLY TROUBLING DON'T YOU THINK? Since childhood the Bible Alone (Sola Scriptura) is our source for truth. THE first Christians had no doubts about how to determine which claimant, among the many contending for the title, was the true Church, and which doctrines the true teachings of Christ. The test was simple: Just trace the apostolic succession of the claimants. In its concrete form, apostolic succession is the line of bishops stretching back to the apostles. All over the world, all Catholic bishops can have their lineage of predecessors traced back to the time of the apostles, something which is impossible in Protestant denominations (most of whom do not even claim to have bishops). The role of apostolic succession in preserving true doctrine is illustrated in the Bible. To make sure that the teachings of the apostles would be passed down after the deaths of the apostles, Paul told Timothy: "[W]hat you have heard from me before many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also" (2 Tim. 2:2). In this passage he refers to the first four generations of apostolic succession--his own generation, Timothy's generation, the generation Timothy will teach, and the generation they in turn will teach. The Church Fathers, who were links in that chain of succession, regularly appealed to apostolic succession as a test for whether Catholics or heretics had correct doctrine. This was necessary because heretics simply put their own interpretations, even bizarre ones, on the Scriptures. Clearly, something other than Scripture had to be used as an ultimate test of doctrine in these cases. Thus the early Church historian, J.N.D. Kelly, a Protestant, writes: "[W]here in practice was [the] apostolic testimony or tradition to be found? . . . The most obvious answer was that the apostles had committed it orally to the Church, where it had been handed down from generation to generation. . . . Unlike the alleged secret tradition of the Gnostics, it was entirely public and open, having been entrusted by the apostles to their successors, and by these in turn to those who followed them, and was visible in the Church for all who cared to look for it" (Early Christian Doctrines, 37). For the early Fathers, "the identity of the oral tradition with the original revelation is guaranteed by the unbroken succession of bishops in the great sees going back lineally to the apostles. . . . [A]n additional safeguard is supplied by the Holy Spirit, for the message committed was to the Church, and the Church is the home of the Spirit. Indeed, the Church's bishops are . . . Spirit-endowed men who have been vouchsafed 'an infallible charism of truth'" (ibid.). Thus on the basis of experience the Fathers could be "profoundly convinced of the futility of arguing with heretics merely on the basis of Scripture. The skill and success with which they twisted its plain meaning made it impossible to reach any decisive conclusion in that field" (ibid., 41). |

POPE AND AUTHORITY Christ gave Pope Peter alone the "keys of the kingdom" (Matt. 16:19) and promised that Peters decisions would be binding in heaven. He also gave similar power to the other apostles (Catholic Bishops) (Matt. 18:18), but only Pope Peter was given the keys, symbols of his authority to rule the Church on earth in Jesus’ absence. In Matthew 16:19 Jesus is referring to Isaiah 22:22 I will place the key of the House of David on his shoulder; when he opens, no one shall shut, when he shuts, no one shall open. Rev. 3:7 : "To the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write this: "The holy one, the true, who holds the key of David, who opens and no one shall close, who closes and no one shall open, …” His church is a living church. 10 | to serve god | Matthew | junmeskie | 136848
Jesus said it is not enough to have faith in him; we also must obey his commandments. "Why do you call me LORD, LORD, but do not do the things I command?" (Luke 6:46, Matt. 7:21–23, 19:16–21). We do not "earn" our salvation through good works (Eph. 2:8–9, Rom. 9:16), but our faith in Christ puts us in a special grace-filled relationship with God so that our obedience and love, combined with our faith, will be rewarded with eternal life (Rom. 2:7, Gal. 6:8–9). Paul said, "God is the one who, for his good purpose, works in you both to desire and to work" (Phil. 2:13). John explained that "the way we may be sure that we know him is to keep his commandments. Whoever says, I know him, but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him" (1 John 2:3–4, 3:19–24, 5:3–4). Since no gift can be forced on the recipient—gifts always can be rejected—even after we become justified, we can throw away the gift of salvation. We throw it away through grave (mortal) sin (John 15:5–6, Rom. 11:22–23, 1 Cor. 15:1–2; CCC 1854 –1863). Paul tells us, "The wages of sin is death" (Rom. 6:23). Read his letters and see how often Paul warned Christians against sin. He would not have felt compelled to do so if their sins could not exclude them from heaven (see, for example, 1 Cor. 6:9–10, Gal. 5:19–21). Paul reminded the Christians in Rome that God "will repay everyone according to his works: eternal life for those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in good works, but wrath and fury to those who selfishly disobey the truth and obey wickedness" (Rom. 2:6–8). Sins are nothing but evil works (CCC 1849 –1850). We can avoid sins by habitually performing good works. Every saint has known that the best way to keep free from sins is to embrace regular prayer, the sacraments (the Eucharist first of all), and charitable acts. CCC - Catechism of the Catholic Church |

PLease read this verse carefully Matthew 28:19-20 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you "Teaching them to observe ALL THINGS whatsoever I have commanded you.." ALL THINGS Jesus did not says "Teaching them to observe THE FUNDAMENTALS I have commanded you.." We have the habits of picking verses and doctrine that suits our human interest so I compared them like the Burger King comercial "Have it your way" That's all what I'm saying I'm not suggesting NO MORE NO LESS BUT "Teaching them to observe ALL THINGS whatsoever I have commanded you.." 12 | EXPLAIM CHAPTER 3 VERSE 5 | John | junmeskie | 102644
Romans 5:12 "Sin entered the world through one man (Adam) and through sin death. And thus, death has spread through the whole human race because everyone has sinned. Sin existed in the world long before law was given." Because of sin of Adam and Eve our first parent, we are born without grace in our souls, so there is no way for us to have fellowship with God. Jesus became man to bring us into union with his Father. He said no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is first born of "water and the Spirit" (John 3:5)—this refers to baptism as I believed it is. Through baptism we are born again, but this time on a spiritual level instead of a physical level. We are washed in the bath of rebirth (Titus 3:5). We are baptized into Christ’s death and therefore share in his Resurrection (Rom. 6:3–7). Baptism cleanses us of sins and brings the Holy Spirit and his grace into our souls (Acts 2:38, 22:16). And the apostle Peter is perhaps the most blunt of all: "Baptism now saves you" (1 Pet. 3:21). Baptism is the gateway into the Church. Ezekiel 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. WATER means WATER as you can SEE it. Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Acts 2: 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. BAPTISM IS NOT A SYMBOLIC ACT IT DOES SOMETHING FOR OUR PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL BEING. WE ARE ADOPTED TO HIS FAMILY BUT BEFORE WE ARE ACCEPTED WE MUST BE CLEANSE BY TAKING A SHOWER TO TAKE OFF DIRTS. YES WE SHOULD TAKE JESUS WORDS LITERALLY SINCE HE REITERATED THIS MANY TIMES, WE WILL KNOW IF HE IS TALKING SYMBOLICALLY, NOT IN THIS CASE. CAPIZ God Bless |

How can we be assured of our own salvation if St. Paul wasn't (1 Corinthians 9:27)? Salvation is not a "one time" event, but an ongoing process until "the end" (Matthew 10:22; 24:13; Mark 13:13). READ MY COMPLETE ANSWER ON THIS TOPIC YOU WON'T MISS IT SAME SUBJECT. |

14 | EXPLAIM CHAPTER 3 VERSE 5 | John | junmeskie | 102779
One key Scripture reference to being "born again" or "regenerated" is John 3:5, where Jesus says, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." This verse is so important that those who say baptism is just a symbol must deny that Jesus here refers to baptism. "Born again" Christians claim the "water" is the preached word of God. But the early Christians uniformly identified this verse with baptism. Water baptism is the way, they said, that we are born again and receive new life—a fact that is supported elsewhere in Scripture (Rom. 6:3–4; Col. 2:12–13; Titus 3:5). No Church Father referred to John 3:5 as anything other than water baptism. Justin Martyr "As many as are persuaded and believe that what we (Christians) teach and say is true, and undertake to be able to live accordingly, and instructed to pray and to entreat God with fasting, for the remission of their sins that are past, we pray and fast with them. Then they are brought by us where there is water and are regenerated in the same manner in which we were ourselves regenerated. For, in the name of God, the Father . . . and of our Savior Jesus Christ, and of the Holy Spirit [Matt. 28:19], they then receive the washing with water. For Christ also said, ‘Unless you are born again, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven’ [John 3:3]" (First Apology 61 A.D. 151). Irenaeus "‘And (Naaman) dipped himself . . . seven times in the Jordan’ (2 Kgs. 5:14). It was not for nothing that Naaman of old, when suffering from leprosy, was purified upon his being baptized, but (this served) as an indication to us. For as we are lepers in sin, we are made clean, by means of the sacred water and the invocation of the Lord, from our old transgressions, being spiritually regenerated as newborn babes, even as the Lord has declared: ‘Except a man be born again through water and the Spirit, he shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven’" (Fragment 34 A.D. 190). Tertullian "No one can attain salvation without baptism, especially in view of the declaration of the Lord, who says, ‘Unless a man shall be born of water, he shall not have life’" (Baptism 12:1 A.D. 203). Hippolytus "The Father of immortality sent the immortal Son and Word into the world, who came to man in order to wash him with water and the Spirit; and he, begetting us again to incorruption of soul and body, breathed into us the Spirit of life, and endued us with an incorruptible panoply. If, therefore, man has become immortal, he will also be God. And if he is made God by water and the Holy Spirit after the regeneration of the laver he is found to be also joint-heir with Christ after the resurrection from the dead. Wherefore I preach to this effect: Come, all ye kindreds of the nations, to the immortality of the baptism" (Discourse on the Holy Theophany 8 A.D. 217). and more I believed that we should listen to the interpretations of the Early Church Fathers. I read that Polycarp taught Justin Martyr is a student of John the Evangelist It's arrogant to insist that our personal or today's ministers or pastors has a better interpretations than these early christians. 15 | Half Brothers and Sisters of Jesus? | John 7:5 | junmeskie | 136842
No Word for Cousin Because neither Hebrew nor Aramaic (the language spoken by Christ and his disciples) had a special word meaning "cousin," speakers of those languages could use either the word for "brother" or a circumlocution, such as "the son of my uncle." But circumlocutions are clumsy, so the Jews often used "brother." The writers of the New Testament were brought up using the Aramaic equivalent of "brothers" to mean both cousins and sons of the same father—plus other relatives and even non-relatives. When they wrote in Greek, they did the same thing the translators of the Septuagint did. (The Septuagint was the Greek version of the Hebrew Bible; it was translated by Hellenistic Jews a century or two before Christ’s birth and was the version of the Bible from which most of the Old Testament quotations found in the New Testament are taken.) In the Septuagint the Hebrew word that includes both brothers and cousins was translated as adelphos, which in Greek usually has the narrow meaning that the English "brother" has. Unlike Hebrew or Aramaic, Greek has a separate word for cousin, anepsios, but the translators of the Septuagint used adelphos, even for true cousins. You might say they transliterated instead of translated, importing the Jewish idiom into the Greek Bible. They took an exact equivalent of the Hebrew word for "brother" and did not use adelphos in one place (for sons of the same parents), and anepsios in another (for cousins). This same usage was employed by the writers of the New Testament and passed into English translations of the Bible. To determine what "brethren" or "brother" or "sister" means in any one verse, we have to look at the context. When we do that, we see that insuperable problems arise if we assume that Mary had children other than Jesus. When the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and told her that she would conceive a son, she asked, "How can this be since I have no relations with a man?" (Luke 1:34). From the Church’s earliest days, as the Fathers interpreted this Bible passage, Mary’s question was taken to mean that she had made a vow of lifelong virginity, even in marriage. (This was not common, but neither was it unheard of.) If she had not taken such a vow, the question would make no sense. Mary knew how babies are made (otherwise she wouldn’t have asked the question she did). If she had anticipated having children in the normal way and did not intend to maintain a vow of virginity, she would hardly have to ask "how" she was to have a child, since conceiving a child in the "normal" way would be expected by a newlywed wife. Her question makes sense only if there was an apparent (but not a real) conflict between keeping a vow of virginity and acceding to the angel’s request. A careful look at the New Testament shows that Mary kept her vow of virginity and never had any children other than Jesus. When Jesus was found in the Temple at age twelve, the context suggests that he was the only son of Mary and Joseph. There is no hint in this episode of any other children in the family (Luke 2:41–51). Jesus grew up in Nazareth, and the people of Nazareth referred to him as "the son of Mary" (Mark 6:3), not as "a son of Mary." In fact, others in the Gospels are never referred to as Mary’s sons, not even when they are called Jesus’ "brethren." If they were in fact her sons, this would be strange usage. Also, the attitude taken by the "brethren of the Lord" implies they are his elders. In ancient and, particularly, in Eastern societies (remember, Palestine is in Asia), older sons gave advice to younger, but younger seldom gave advice to older—it was considered disrespectful to do so. But we find Jesus’ "brethren" saying to him that Galilee was no place for him and that he should go to Judea so he could make a name for himself (John 7:3–4). Another time, they sought to restrain him for his own benefit: "And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for people were saying, ‘He is beside himself’" (Mark 3:21). This kind of behavior could make sense for ancient Jews only if the "brethren" were older than Jesus, but that alone eliminates them as his biological brothers, since Jesus was Mary’s "first-born" son (Luke 2:7). Consider what happened at the foot of the cross. When he was dying, Jesus entrusted his mother to the apostle John (John 19:26–27). The Gospels mention four of his "brethren": James, Joseph, Simon, and Jude. It is hard to imagine why Jesus would have disregarded family ties and made this provision for his mother if these four were also her sons. 16 | Half Brothers and Sisters of Jesus? | John 7:5 | junmeskie | 136943
Mary: Virgin and Ever Virgin All Christians believe that Mary was a virgin before and at the time of the birth of her son Jesus. Is 7:14 "The virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel." Mt 1:18-25 "Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the holy Spirit. Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly. Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel," which means "God is with us." When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took his wife into his home. He had no relations with her until she bore a son, and he named him Jesus." Lk 1:26-27 "In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgins name was Mary." Nicene Creed (325), Constantinopolitan Creed (381) ... Who for us men and because of our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became human. Roman Catholic Christians and many other Christians also believe that Mary remained a virgin for the rest of her life. Constant faith of the Church Great teachers of the Church from at least the fourth century spoke of Mary as having remained a virgin throughout her life: Athanasius (Alexandria, 293 - 373) Epiphanius (Palestine, 315? - 403) Jerome (Stridon, present day Slovenia, 345? - 419) Augustine (Numidia, now Algeria, 354 - 430) Cyril (Alexandria, 376 - 444) and others. Magisterium of the Church Council of Constantinople II (553 - 554) twice referred to Mary as "ever-virgin." Protestant Reformers The great protestant reformers affirmed their belief in Marys perpetual virginity: German reformer Martin Luthers (1483-1546) writings often address the subject of Mary: On the Divine Motherhood of Mary, he wrote In this work whereby she was made the Mother of God, so many and such great good things were given her that no one can grasp them. ... Not only was Mary the mother of him who is born [in Bethlehem], but of him who, before the world, was eternally born of the Father, from a Mother in time and at the same time man and God. (Weimers The Works of Luther, English translation by Pelikan, Concordia, St. Louis, v. 7, p. 572.) Luther, true to Catholic tradition, wrote on the Virginity of Mary: It is an article of faith that Mary is Mother of the Lord and still a virgin. ... Christ, we believe, came forth from a womb left perfectly intact. (Weimers The Works of Luther, English translation by Pelikan, Concordia, St. Louis, v.11, pp. 319-320; v. 6. p. 510.) The French reformer John Calvin (1509-1564) also held that Mary was the Mother of God It cannot be denied that God in choosing and destining Mary to be the Mother of his Son, granted her the highest honor. ... Elizabeth called Mary Mother of the Lord, because the unity of the person in the two natures of Christ was such that she could have said that the mortal man engendered in the womb of Mary was at the same time the eternal God. (Calvini Opera, Corpus Reformatorum, Braunschweig-Berlin, 1863-1900, v. 45, p. 348, 35.) On the perpetual virginity of Mary, "Calvin routinely brushes aside the difficulties sometimes raised from "first born" and "brothers of the Lord." (O Carroll, M., 1983, Theotokos, M Glazier, Inc.: Wilmington, DE, p. 94.) The Swiss reformer, Ulrich Zwingli (1484-1531), wrote, on the divine motherhood of Mary: It was given to her what belongs to no creature, that in the flesh she should bring forth the Son of God. (Zwingli Opera, Corpus Reformatorum, Berlin, 1905, v. 6, I, p. 639.) On the perpetual virginity of Mary, Zwingli wrote, I firmly believe that Mary, according to the words of the gospel as a pure Virgin brought forth for us the Son of God and in childbirth and after childbirth forever remained a pure, intact Virgin. (Zwingli Opera, Corpus Reformatorum, Berlin, 1905, v. 1, p. 424.) John Reformed, Thank you for your reply. Truth as I know is Jesus not the scripture (though they were inspired, but if scripture is the truth then why the multitude of conflicting interpretations?) and then I read the Bible origin that they were compiled or put together by the Catholic Bishops in 393A.D. and the Vulgate is the first bible, I thought it was the KJV (which is on it's 3rd revisions) It's true that all of us were given a holy spirit but it's not guarantee, since in some verses Jesus spoke to the apostles and some verses it sounded like Jesus is talking only to Peter (whose name occurs 195, more times than the other Apostles put together) and if this is true that we have the guarantee of the Holy Spirit then why the confusion of multitude of denominations all pointing to the bible but none of them agree what the Bible says. HOW CAN YOU JUSTIFY THIS? Do you honestly believed that the end result God will fix these chaos. I wonder which denominations will be discarded to fire? I personally disagree on your theory that God seems to be imperfect. |

As Catholic Christians we are members of his one body united in his church as Family of God UNIVERSALLY UNITED WITH THE BISHOP OF ROME ….where THE CHAIR OF SAINT PETER IS……never divided 1Cor.14:33 Remember this verse…… 1Timothy 3:15 ...behave thyself in the house of God NOT DA BIBLE or THE PEOPLE, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. KJV The Church has remained ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC, and APOSTOLIC not through mans effort, but because God preserves the Church he established Matt. 16:18, 28:20. God Bless Al Mescallado |

YES Peter denied our Lord 3 times but Jesus did not hold this against him, Peter is still a man (not perfect) only God is perfect. You accepted Solomon words to be inspired words of God yet King Solomon is a known sinner with over 800 wives or concubines? FROM THE BEGINNING GOD HAS BEEN SHEPHERDING HIS CHILDREN...NOAH...ABRAHAM.....MOSES........POPE PETER........NOW POPE JOHN PAUL II Jesus also asked our First Pope Peter these questions “DO YOU LOVE ME PETER?” 3 times ”FEED MY LAMB” ”TEND MY SHEEP” read ..John 21:15, 16 and 17 Who feed the sheep? “DO YOU LOVE ME PETER?” FEED MY LAMB TEND MY SHEEP Who feed the sheep? THE SHEPHERD - FATHER - PAPA – we now call POPE Primacy of Peter (Our First Pope) REMEMBER THESE VERSES …Mt. 16:18-19, Is. 22:22, Lk. 22:32, Jn. 21:17, Mk. 16:17, Lk. 24:34, Acts 1:13-26, Acts 2:14, Acts 3:6-7, Acts 5:1-11, Acts 8:21, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 15:7, Acts15:19, Gal 1:18, Gal 2:11-14, Mt 10:1-4; Mk 3:16-19; Lk 6:14-16; Acts 1:13 - Peter name always heads list of Apostles…. Lk 9:32; Mk 16:7 - "Peter and his companions" …..Mt 18:21; Mk 8:29; Lk 8:45, 12:41; Jn 6:69 spoke for Apostles …. Peters name occurs 195, more times than the other Apostles put together ABOUT HOLINESS OF THE CHURCH HIS CHURCH IS HOLY (Eph. 5:25–27, Rev. 19:7–8) By his grace Jesus makes the Church holy, just as he is holy. This doesnt mean that each member is always holy. Jesus said there would be both good and bad members in the Church (John 6:70), and not all the members would go to heaven (Matt. 7:21–23). But the Church itself is holy because it is the source of holiness and is the guardian of the special means of grace Jesus established, the sacraments (cf. Eph. 5:26). It's good that people expect too much from our priests (to be holy, pure and sinless) they put him on a pedestal. Most people put to much FAITH on their priest, pastors, and ministers and when they committed an scandalous sin they lost thier faith in their church, since their faith is based on their expectations and not soley on Jesus. This is the main reason that non Catholic christians can church HOP or go church (s) hopping anytime they feel that their church does not serve their self vested interest. Worse is they aslo believed as long they have the word (The Bible) they can start their own churches any time they feel like it. Although popular with many "Bible Christian" churches, the "Bible alone" theory simply does not Work in practice. Historical experience disproves it. Each year we see additional splintering among "Bible-believing" religions. Today there are over 33,000 competing denominations, each insisting its interpretation of the Bible is the correct one. The resulting divisions have caused untold confusion among millions of sincere but misled Christians. Just open up the Yellow Pages of your telephone book and see how many different denominations are listed, each claiming to go by the "Bible alone," but no two of them agreeing on exactly what the Bible means. We know this for sure: The Holy Spirit cannot be the author of this confusion (1 Cor. 14:33). God cannot lead people to contradictory beliefs because his truth is one. The conclusion? The "Bible alone" theory must be false. |
