221 | Oneness and the word "person" | 2 Cor 13:14 | jcsav | 112975
Steve, I have now answered. I do not have the time to answer every question, what you see as a question that is a good one and I did not answer. Remember that I may not see it as such. Oneness seems to attact a great deal of interest and the mail is some times more than can be handled. I have other responsibilites that need my time.
222 | Why isn't the gift of tongues a sign? | 2 Cor 13:14 | jcsav | 112996
You are not saved simply because you speak in tongues. This can also be a Judgement upon you if you fell to continue to obey the Truth, as Paul pointed out to the Corintians. Peter gives the formular for salvation in Acts 2:38. This is what Jesus was speaking of when he said, You must be born of the Water and the Spirit in order to see the Kingdom of God.
223 | Gift or Sign? | 2 Cor 13:14 | jcsav | 113011
"It" as in the words that he hear when we speak. You are correct, we should say "He" refurring to the Holy Spirit/Ghost. If I did so, I was wrong. Remember that we are the ones who knows him by his Name. So how can he be a mere blessing, feeling or influence. And because I say I have the Holy Ghost do not mean I will not make a mistake. But you can not bring Truth into question because of my grammar. I misspell words too.
224 | Gift or Sign? | 2 Cor 13:14 | jcsav | 113015
You didn't answer my question.

227 | Did Christ forsake Himself | 2 Cor 13:14 | jcsav | 113046
Norm, thank you for the candor.I know who you Bishop is. I don't know how else to put this, but you are a babe in Christ and you are not in a good position at this time to Teach others in this type of setting. Even if some are trinity. The statement you made that Jesus became God after the cross is not correct. He became a Quickening Spirit would be a better term to use. Ask your Pastor if it is o.k. to be a part of this forum. If he saids it is. Then so be it. I am a minister in the P.A.W. Praise the Lord!
228 | what is salvation and how does it work ? | Eph 2:8 | jcsav | 146466
God do not take it back. Salvation begins "in faith" (he that believe) and "continues in faith" (we walk by faith and not by sight) and "ends in faith," that the security of believer is NOT unconditional, but is based upon the continuity of faith in the life of the believer.
229 | what is salvation and how does it work ? | Eph 2:8 | jcsav | 146468
My statement speaks for itself. It is not a Calvinist statement. I will defend my beliefs to the death. But, I oppose the Calvinism view. I do not need you to tell me who and what I am. Ask me and I will tell you.
230 | what is salvation and how does it work ? | Eph 2:8 | jcsav | 146498
Repentance and remission of sin would not be possible without the death of Christ. He did not do this so that you would continue in your sin. And I assure you, your blessing is not the only thing you will be losing if you disobey Heb 12:15-17 and 6:6-10. As for Rev.2: 4-5 what do you think a Church is. It is people. God is not talking about bricks and mortar.
231 | what is salvation and how does it work ? | Eph 2:8 | jcsav | 146520
God do not change our nature. He simply give us another Spirit (HIS).Rom 8:7-17.
232 | Do you have to know Christ? | Eph 2:8 | jcsav | 146734
Only one person have entered into heaven, following the Law and that was Jesus Christ. There is only one way and that Way is through Jesus Christ.
233 | Partly under the Law? | Col 2:14 | jcsav | 146174
Merv Please, reconsider your thoughts on The second Death (Hell). It is true God is a just and loving God. But, He will do what He say. And the Bible tells us this is Just. Gods Love (agape) is quite different from what many of us think. |

234 | Partly under the Law? | Col 2:14 | jcsav | 146450
You seem to see death as some kind of none existence. That is not taught in the Scriptures. When Jesus allowed us to see into the after life in Luke 16:22-31. Do you see sin. No. You see a repentive Believer that was willing to Preach the Gospel. And if you see this as the first Death (The Soul still Lives) then how is this different from Rev 20:14-15 ,"And Death and hell (The last enemy 1Cor15:26) were cast into the lake of Fire, (it is now, destroyed, no longer exist) This is the second death. (15) "And whoever was not written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Now, tell me, how do you die, seeing death is no more. It is not that you can not live again that is the Hell. It is that you can not die. That is what Jesus meant by the worm will not die and the fire will not be quenched. Mark 9:46. |

235 | Questions for the KJV-Only cult | 1 Thess 5:21 | jcsav | 121597
I can not answer All of your questions, But I can say this. With the translations we have. It is enought for us to receive the Holy Ghost. And it is the Holy Ghost that lead us into ALL Truths. Remember that the individuals in the book of Acts that recieved the Holy Ghost did not have the books of the New Testments, Yet they received the Holy Ghost. This came about thought the Preaching of the Gospel. There are no big differences in the translations of the Languages. Must of the problems comes from trying to interpret what the Word of God is saying. And this is not a problem for those with the Holy Ghost. For it is the Holy Ghost (Spirit) that interprets.

I, also, did not mean to minimize the New Testament. My point was that there are enough Truth in All the translations that I have read to obtain Salvation. I only meant that if one have recieved the Holy Ghost (Spirit) It warns you when you have read something that is not right (1 Cor 2:13). I will read the TNIV if I can find a copy. That, I have not read. But I have a feeling, It is not the Words translation that is the problem, but someone tried to interpret for the reader. Thank You, for your comments.
237 | Women in Ministry | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 145925
Yayatheresa, Timothy is clearly speaking of the Husband and Wife and not all men in verse 2:13-15. The same can be said for 1cor 14:34-35. The "Law" spoken of has to be Husband and Wife. There is no Law, that a woman must be in subjection to all men (but only to her own husband). That came about though tradition and not by the Word of God. And remember, Jesus Christ is head of them both. |

238 | Women in Ministry | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 146246
If that is all that it mean. Then why did Paul say in verse 34, ....as also saith the law? And why do he tell her to ask her husband at home? Why not ask the men. Or the Pastor? |

240 | Results DO matter | 1 Tim 2:12 | jcsav | 146342
I have used the quote of Gamaliel myself. It was used in the defence of Paul. And it can be used today in the same defence. Just because a false prophet may choose to use it. Do not make the statement, null and void. Gamaliel, wisely choosed, not to fight against the Gospel. He did not choose NOT to fight against "false prophets". God many times influence the hearts of individuals that are not saved, to do his will.
