381 | Is Jesus Angry everyday? | John 3:16 | humbledbyhisgrace | 181713
Greetings shing! As a matter of fact, yes I do love to learn the word of God and I can understand your joy found in His word and in Him! Mind if I ask what you learned about God's anger from this verse? You said you were surprised so I'm curious if you understand that God's anger is a righteous anger not to be confused with the unrighteous variety we as sinners sometimes have. God bless and stay in the word with me and the other brothers and sisters in Christ. One day we will see the Lord God and stand before Him and worship Him together! Amen! Until then, we will read His word and learn all we can from His written word. By Faith, Steve |

Greetings WTB! Consider this. The gifts are not given by man and neither does man have the authority to determine who does and who doesn't receive them, when they receive them, or which ones they receive. Neither are the gifts conjured up as some hocus pocus magic show. Your only rebellious when you go against God. Stay strong in your faith in Him and His word! God bless! By Faith, Steve |

388 | wandering eyes | Gen 1:1 | humbledbyhisgrace | 180979
So, you have this whole thing figured out then? Interesting as I have known a few people in my life that are, well they are just smarter then most people. Of course most of them have been much older then me so they have had much more time to learn then I. However, I have known a couple that are much younger then myself and well they just seemed to have a much deeper insight and understanding of things then most people. You know the kind I’m talking about? How long have you been studying these mathematic scientific and random studies? At what age did you first come to understand them to prove God did not exist? Are you one of those younger people that I’m talking about as having a deeper understanding then most of us common folks? Steve |

389 | wandering eyes | Gen 1:1 | humbledbyhisgrace | 180951
sour, First let me say I pray that the Lord God will open your heart to receive the truth that His free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to find true happiness. Hear what the Lord God has told mankind through His word. Romans 3:23 (NASB) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and payment for our sins is death Romans 6:23 (NASB) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. So we all have sinned. Christians and none Christians alike. And there is a price to be paid for that sin. Romans 5:8 (NASB) But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Note, it was not after we somehow found a way to be good enough that He demonstrated His love for us and died on the cross to pay the price for our sins. It was when we were at our worst that He did so! The most important thing to note here is that He (Christ) died for us! Romans 10:9-10 (NASB) 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Romans 5:1 (NASB) Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ Here young man in Romans 10:9-10 and Romans 5:1 is true happiness! I would like to ask you a question. You admit you do not believe in God. You admit you do not have a bible and know nothing of God’s word. Yet you are willing at a young age to write an essay for a friend to show them your “light”. My question is this. If you have no bible and know nothing about it and do not believe in God (according to your own words), how is it you have set yourself up to improve on God’s word which you know nothing about? How is it you (the created) can improve on the Creator which you know nothing about? I say this out of love and my prayer is you can see and understand this. Your own words clearly show that you have no light as you say. You contradict yourself with your own words. It appears you are very much in the dark because you fail to even see your own “light”. Considering your intentions is to help a friend I would encourage you to stop and think about how bad you are misleading them. If you care for them at all it’s best you simply tell them you don’t have a clue about God or his word but you would love to study with them to understand it by reading His word and not making up your own gospel. 392 | Mary's virginity remained intact | Bible general Archive 3 | humbledbyhisgrace | 180590
Parable, Perhaps it’s your hermeneutics that fail you. Consider this, you have taken God, Mary, and the sin of adultery and are trying to explain the conception. I would argue based on your attempt at exegesis on this matter you have failed to consider several important things that are required to properly do so. 1) Know what the scriptures teach about God. 2) Know what the scriptures teach about Mary. 3) Know what the scriptures teach about sin. 4) Know what the scriptures teach regarding the conception. Example: You have chosen to include the sin of adultery. Where did that come from? This is not mentioned in the scriptures regarding this event. Yet you are trying to attribute it to the event. In my opinion, your mistake here is not understanding what scripture teaches us about what sin is as well as what scripture teaches us about God. Answer this question for yourself. What does the bible say sin is? Not the different types of sin, but what is sin according to God’s word? Once you have answered that question and come to an understanding of what the scriptures say about God and Mary and the conception then you should be better prepared to explain it. You appear to be attempting exegesis without proper understanding and/or elimination of the major facts of what you seek to explain. Instead, you are assuming much and applying that which does not apply. You attempt to reconcile it based on your assumptions and faulty reasoning which appear to be rooted in the flesh and not the Spirit. Understand? By Faith, Steve |

394 | Whats a womens place in the Church? | 1 Tim 2:12 | humbledbyhisgrace | 180301
Greetings 2Tim215! Something to think about. You stated “I think that it is better to obey God than to follow 1 Timothy 2:12 and sin in disobedience.” You are being disobedient if your not following 1 Timothy 2:12 or any other part of God’s word. God is not going to tell you to get up in front of a church to say something if that action contradicts His word. I’m not saying what you did contradicts His word. What I’m pointing out is that to think you can ignore God’s word and follow what you think is God speaking to you and it doesn’t line up with His word, you can rest assured it’s not God speaking to you. 398 | Will there be marriages in heaven? | Matt 22:30 | humbledbyhisgrace | 180206
Greetings minister summers! Praise God for your humbled spirit and your desire to share and learn God's word with others! This is truly a good place to do both. I've stuck around here myself because I have learned much from others on this forum. There are many here to learn from and it will become obvious to you who they are in a short period of time. You might also be surprised at the countries they live in. By that I mean it's fascinating to see how God has brought together many of His people from around the world to study His word together. I look forward to you sticking around and both of us learning from them and from each other. I would like to encourage you to continue to participate in this forum. Also, if you would take the time to add a little information about yourself in your "Personal Profile". You can access it by clicking on the link "Update User Info" found on the left side of the page under the Resources section. It's not required but it would be nice for all to know a bit about who they are talking to. You mentioned you are new at this so I would recommend that you view some of the other user profiles and get an idea of the type of information others provide. Too much detail might not be a good idea in a public place. By that I mean too much personal info like phone numbers, street address, credit card numbers, PIN numbers etc... ;-) Your Brother in Christ, Steve |

399 | Will there be marriages in heaven? | Matt 22:30 | humbledbyhisgrace | 180153
Greetings once again minister summers! First let me say I apologize for my post. After reading it again I wish I would have read through it more carefully before posting. It comes across a bit mean spirited and that was not my intent. Please forgive me if I offended you. I can appreciate what you say as your "main point" but your original post does not reflect what you say your main point is nor does it line up with what the scripture says. Consider the scriptures once again in context. Is not the answer Jesus gave the Sadducees in verse 30 a direct answer to their questions from verses 24-28? I know the main point of this passage of scripture is not the marriage thing but rather the resurrection. However, not only does He silences them on the resurrection issue, He addressed the marriage issue, as well. It was important enough to God to include it in His word so it must remain important to us to teach it correctly. Would you agree? God bless, Steve |

400 | Will there be marriages in heaven? | Matt 22:30 | humbledbyhisgrace | 180123
Greetings minister summers! Based on your statement I would say your version of the "truth" appears to conflict with scripture and fall more in line with the Sadducees. My intent is not to offend but as you have offered your version of the truth which in my opinion clearly contradicts scripture, can you help us understand your version of the "true answer"? Take into account verses 24-28 and tell us who's wife would she be? God bless, Steve |
