Thanks! I knew there was something in the Old Testament about blood atonement. I had found the one in Hebrews but was still looking for the one in the Old Testament. Thanks so much!
2 | Please explain the Trinity. | John 1:1 | Truthstudent | 29572
To me the trinity is a picture of an egg. The egg is one yet it has 3 parts. The shell, the yolk, and the white, just as the trinity is one but has 3 parts. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
3 | Please explain the Trinity. | John 1:1 | Truthstudent | 29667
In comparing the Trinity to an egg the teacher who used this analogy was explaining it to a group of children. In this analogy, he was speaking of the egg in tact, not broken as if it was being used in cooking. He was simply trying to explain the Trinity where the children could understand it. If it is so confusing to us as adults you can imagine how confusing it would be to a child. I just thought his analogy was a good way to explain the Trinity to someone who did not understand it.
4 | Please explain the Trinity. | John 1:1 | Truthstudent | 29682
Well, Hank, I disagree. When you are talking to 3 and 4 year old children, it is more feasible to use an egg and be able to show them the shell, the yolk and the white because if they can see it, it makes more sense to them. I agree that honesty is best with anyone, especially children, but some children need to see the 3 parts to understand what is being explained. There are some people that if they can't physically see it, they cannot picture it in their minds so to aid in learning one must show physical truth. Granted you cannot break God into 3 parts like you do an egg, but the concept was to show them that there are three parts to a whole egg and that the whole egg is like the Trinity.
5 | no redemption without shedding of blood | Heb 9:22 | Truthstudent | 21008
Thank you very much. I had found that particular Scripture but I thought there was another one in the Old Testament concerning the Tabernacle, Moses, and the sins of the Israelites. Guess I was wrong.
