1 | is mindreading demonic? | Bible general Archive 3 | Tim3:16 | 169765
The Bible strongly condemns the practice of spiritism, mediums, occult, psychics, etc. (Leviticus 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:10-13). Besides, there is just too much fault found too easily in what you say she said. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Tim |

2 | But what makes them the same creation? | Bible general Archive 3 | Tim3:16 | 182181
It is interesting to note that the Strong's Concordance shows the word for man in 1:26 as number 120, which is adam, lower case 'a' -which means, human being. Then # 121 is Adam, upper-case 'A' which is the name of the first man. Also, in 2:23 the Strong's # 376 is used for man, which is "iysh" pronounced, eesh. This is a more definite term which means a certain man, pointing to an individual. Blessings, Tim |

8 | Explantation of Gen. 6:1-6 | Gen 6:2 | Tim3:16 | 128007
Hello again, tgc; Sorry it took some time to get back, but this is what I have found after reading your submission to the note board. "Sons of God" is not an exclusive term, and can possibly refer to angels as it seems to here in Job 38:6-7, "Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" or, also used of men, as in the following verses: Deut. 14:1, Hosea 1:10; Luke 3:38; John 1:12; 1 John 3:1 In Genesis 6:2 I submit to you, that the "sons of God" were the righteous line of Seth (Genesis 4:26) that had been intermarrying with evil Cain-anites. It has been argued that only angel-human co-mingling could produce the "nephilim" spoken of in Gen. 6:4. But the sons of Anak spoken of in Num. 13:33 were also giants, and these obviously were not angel-human offspring, simply because they existed long after the flood. Luke 20:35, seems to sum up the fact that angels do not marry, "But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:" Also, another interesting subject of study is finding out why Jesus often referred to Himself as "the Son of Man" Also, I will be happy to research this further, you need only to ask. Blessings, tim PS, do you have any idea as to why this thread has been restricted? |

9 | genesis 34:1-12 | Gen 12:13 | Tim3:16 | 170067
According to Judaism 101 , which is an online encyclopedia of Judaism, Women have held positions of respect in Judaism since biblical times. Miriam is considered one of the liberators of the Children of Israel, along with her brothers Moses and Aaron. One of the Judges (Deborah) was a woman. Seven of the 55 prophets of the Bible were women According to traditional Judaism, women are endowed with a greater degree of "binah" (intuition, understanding, intelligence) than men. The rabbis inferred this from the fact that woman was "built" (Gen. 2:22) rather than "formed" (Gen. 2:7), and the Hebrew root of "build" has the same consonants as the word "binah." It is my belief that men and women made the same mistakes in the OT that they do in the NT, proving that the players only change, -the game remains the same. Respectfully yours, Tim |

11 | What is the name of Job's wife? | Job | Tim3:16 | 131348
Thank You Doc. I have been studying Job in some depth lately, and am signed up for an adult Bible class on Job at my church. I was hoping someone would have some outside info, which you generously provided, and is gratefully appreciated! If it is true that Job married Jacob's daughter, that would give us some more insight concerning the date of the book's writing. By the way, what is your source? In Christ, Tim |

12 | What is the name of Job's wife? | Job | Tim3:16 | 131365
Thanks again Doc! We are blessed in our church by the presence of a wonderful teacher who used to have a strong Jewish background, -Well, actually he still does (o; -I will call him Al. Then Al met someone from our church through Jews for Jesus and was baptised in a nearby lake by the pastor of our Non-denom, Christ-based, Bible-teaching church. Today Al is an untiring evangelist, Blessed be the name of the LORD.... (Psa 113:2) Doc, you have piqued my curiosity once again, could you please tell me what is sad about when 'they' (I assume these are members of the synagogue) say, "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord." ? In return, I will look into the 'my profile' issue. Your eternal brother, Tim |

17 | Is Satan expelled from heaven ? | Is 14:1 | Tim3:16 | 168653
Thanks BradK, Your answer was well done and answered me well. My girlfriend and I were having a studious discussion about the whereabouts of our adversary. She said that many preachers have told her that satan was indeed expelled from heaven already. I remarked that it will be one angry beast on his way to earth, and this is likely the point in time when the rapture is to take place. Would you be in agreement with me on this? Thanks for your response, may God Bless you and yours. Tim |

18 | Is Satan expelled from heaven ? | Is 14:1 | Tim3:16 | 168655
Thanks again, BradK, Yes. very helpful insight on your part. Your profile was interestingly similar to my history. I left the Catholic Church, stayed away from religion for years, then found a church that taught Relation, not Religion. This was more palatable than man-made doctrines. Now I attend a local Calvary Chapel, which I hear are very big on the West Coast. God Bless you Brother, and thanx again! Tim |

19 | Is Isaiah 53:4,5 for today | Is 53:4 | Tim3:16 | 168323
Yes. Every chapter and verse is just as relevant today as it was when it was first written. Remember, the game never changes, only the players get replaced. |

20 | Can God's directives oppose His Word? | Jer 2:23 | Tim3:16 | 162032
Thank you, Caldog, I know that God's ways are higher than ours, and I would never think of questioning His sovereignty. But I think this goes a little deeper than what you are referring to, don't you? What you say is that this happened before Christ. I think that God is unchanging, also, man is equally as sinful today as he was then. My perplexity arises from what God's inspired Word tells us in 1Cr 10:13: "No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it." Thanks again, God Bless Tim |
