41 | Is Jesus the Almighty? | John 3:16 | TheFinalSQL | 112338
"Are you saying that you do not believed that there is Father and the Holy Spirit?" No, I am saying exactly what I wrote. Doctine means teaching. The trinity doctrine is teaching that I do not believe in. Jesus only, meaning Jesus is the only one that can save you. Yes, I see Jesus crying out to God on the cross, they are not one and the same.(then) That does not mean I have to believe in the trinity doctrine. Praise the Lord! Norm Praise the Lord! Norm |

We do not have a mistaken view of the trinity. We do not believe in the trinity. That is not to say we do not believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. It is the trinity doctrine we do not believe in. Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Praise the Lord! Norm |

45 | Is Jesus the Almighty? | John 3:16 | TheFinalSQL | 112233
Time does not stand still. Just because there were separate beings then, does not mean that there are now. Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. If you want to continue that there are three beings then the Father and the Holy Spirit have no power because it was all given to Jesus. What name does the Holy Spirit come in? Jesus, John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Who is the father of Jesus? Holy Spirit, Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Then there is the subject question no one has answered is Jesus the Almighty? Praise the Lord! Norm |

46 | Is Jesus the Almighty? | John 3:16 | TheFinalSQL | 112227
I believe in God and the Holy Spirit. I do not believe in the trinity doctrine. The trinity doctrine is a man made teaching that is not found in the bible. No one in the bible is baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are all baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, hence where the term Jesus only comes from. Meaning Jesus only can save you. Look at John 3:16 as the subject verse for this thread. Who does it say to believe in? Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Praise the Lord! Norm |

47 | Can God die? | John 3:16 | TheFinalSQL | 112160
"Would you say that Jesus was sinless His entire life on earth?" Yes, Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Do you believe in the virgin birth of Jesus? Yes, Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. This is the point at which I believe Jesus is God: Philippians 2:8-9 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Just a bit of background of myself. I grew up in a Trinity church, the doctrine is definately not foreign to me. Later I began attending a Friends church, a subset, if you will, of the Quakers. This is in my younger life, from birth until age 18. I never really felt anything of God in these churches and once I started going to college I quit going altogether unless my mom asked me and it was a special occasion. In my mind I deemed the church experience nothing more than a social gathering. Fast forward six years. My neighbor across the street asked if I would attend church with her. I said I would. I would like to say she was nice enough to ask so I was nice enough to go, and have said that, but looking back I refused to go with others when they asked. So I am not sure why I went. Upon entering this church I sat down in Sunday School, and before anyone really said anything to me I thought to myself "I am home" My entire life changed to say the least. THANK YOU JESUS!!! Now I am Apostolic, I do my best to follow the Apostles Doctrine, Acts 2:42 7 times he says, I like that: Psalms 66:1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Psalms 81:1 Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. Psalms 95:1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Psalms 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. Psalms 98:4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Psalms 98:6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King. Psalms 100:1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. --- Psalms 150:6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. Praise the Lord! Norm |

I seen what you wrote in other posts in this thread. I like how you worded it. Water baptism alone, does not save us. If it did, we could save our selves or throw somebody in the water and they would be saved. How would you answer Peter's question (Acts 10:47) Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? Praise the Lord! Norm |

Paul and Peter at odds? Read 2 Peter 3:15, 16... Just checked the site out you mentioned. I see there is no point going any further with this. 2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. Excellent question. Read it, MT 28:19 in comparsion to the great comission in the other gospels: (KJV) Lu 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Mr 16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Something you did leave out in your question is the name. Mt 28:19 says to baptize in the name. What is the name of the Father? What is the name of the Son? What is the name of the Holy Ghost/Spirit? Matthew 1:18, John 5:43, John 14:26 Jesus said in Matthew 28:18 "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." If these are three persons, how much power does the Father have? How much power does the Holy Ghost have? I think the biggest confusion is "Who is Jesus?" The Son and the Father prior to the cross were two separate entities. However, that is not the case now. Isa 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. 23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Is God above Lord? Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. No, God is Lord. Is the name of our Lord Jesus Christ? Mine is. NASB Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." The quoted portion of the scripture about is Jesus's words in red. Jesus said in this verse that he is the Almighty. Praise the Lord! Thank you Jesus! Norm |

In 1 Corinthians 14. The MacArthur Study Bible does a very good job in explaining. I'll add an excerpt at the end. Speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance is not the same as the gift of tongues. Praise the Lord! Norm MacArthur Study Bible for 1 Corinthians 14:2-39 14:2–39 Although it is not indicated consistently in some translations, the distinction between the singular tongue and the plural tongues is foundational to the proper interpretation of this chapter. Paul seems to use the singular to distinguish the counterfeit gift of pagan gibberish and the plural to indicate the genuine gift of a foreign language (see note on v. 2). It was perhaps in recognition of that, that the King James Version (KJV) translators added consistently the word “unknown” before every singular form (see vv. 2, 4, 13, 14, 19, 27). The implications of that distinction will be noted as appropriate. Against the backdrop of carnality and counterfeit ecstatic speech learned from the experience of the pagans, Paul covers 3 basic issues with regard to speaking in languages by the gift of the Holy Spirit: 1) its position, inferior to prophecy (vv. 1–19); 2) its purpose, a sign to unbelievers not believers (vv. 20–25); and 3) its procedure, systematic, limited, and orderly (vv. 26–40). 57 | Why do we have Jesus stuck in a manger? | Col 2:16 | TheFinalSQL | 107717
"Are you reading the Bible as part of your sources? If you are, what version is it?" I read the KJV of the Bible. Very good reponse. I should have phrased my question better. I see the birth of Jesus as a great event. However, it seems we celebrate his birth more than we do his death. We take a pagan holiday and move our celebration of Jesus birthday, January 6th to that day, December 25th. We try to lure pagans to christianity be deceitful means, we take on their customs... to this day we take on their customs and try to make them Christian. Also, I do believe that Jesus did experience sin. Mt 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? He was bearing the sins of the entire world. Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Praise the Lord! |

"Jesus is not Jehovah, never was never will be. He is Jehovah's Son, Second in all the universe." Please show me in Revelations where Jesus said he is Beta and Omega. As far as I can see he said he is Alpha and Omega: Re 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Re 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. Re 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. Re 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Praise the Lord! Norm |

59 | Is Jesus YHWH? | OT general | TheFinalSQL | 107231
They did not know his name: Ex 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. LORD is JEHOVAH Joh 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Many think the name God gave here was Jesus. That is incorrect. He already had the name Jesus. According to the scriptures above the name God gave to Jesus is LORD or Jehavoh. Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Is Jesus a Spirit? The answer to that question is yes and no. Ga 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Definately not a Spirit at this time. 2 things make flesh, spirit and blood. Spirit: Joh 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Blood: Le 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Joh 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. God is a Spirit. Spirit cannot die. Jesus Died. Ro 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. Flesh can die. Spirit cannot. There was no blood in the body of Jesus. What raised Jesus from the dead? Spirit raised him, the Spirit of God. Mt 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. God is in Jesus he is now Spirit, he can not die. That is why he has all power. That is why he is both High Priest and sacrifice: Ac 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Lord (Jehavoh), Christ (Messiah) A look to Revelations shows this chronology: Re 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. "and which was" God never was, God can not die. A mathmatical approach(Transitive Property): If A equals B and if C equals B then A equals C Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. If LORD, Jehavoh equals saviour Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; and Jesus Christ equals Saviour Then LORD equals Jesus Christ Jesus was flesh before the cross and Spirit after the cross: Flesh: Mt 26:11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. Jesus will not always be with us. Only 2 chapters later in Matthew, Spirit: Mt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. There was no blood in the body. No blood, no life of the flesh. Before you ask, I am not a Jehavoh's Witness, I am Apostolic. Praise the Lord! Norm |
