3361 | rev.7:4 | Revelation | Searcher56 | 229123
God's day to you, Bendiciones! Welcome back "What does the Bible say?" This is a minor issue. No matter how many Scripture references one uses, another reference, even a few present another view. People even twist the Bible to fit their view (I am not saying it is true here) ... there are some you have listened to one view their entire life and believe what they are told (I am not saying it is true here). Since this is a minor issue, I have weighed what was said ... and have not changed my view. "What does the Bible say?" S. |

3364 | RC, Was Jesus a Nazarite (Num 6:1-21)? | Rev 1:12 | Searcher56 | 79159
RC ... You have failed to cite Scripture to say He was a Nazarite. Numbers 6:13-20 is not proof about Him. 1. Where does the Bible say He had long hair? 2. When was He a Nazirite, according to the Bible? 3. How long was the Nazirite vow, according to the Bible? I know others who think my Lord Jesus Christ was a Nazarite ... but my Bible says He was a Nazarene. Searcher |

3366 | jcsav, are there candlesticks today? | Rev 2:1 | Searcher56 | 146989
jcsav, Revelation 1-3 is the now and the rest of the book is the hereafter. I agree with (most of) the experts on this. There are some who say each of the churches were the condition of the church through history, and we are in the Laodicean age. Others say there are seven types of churches, based on each of the churches. I would lean toward the latter. Today I see social churches. They thrive becuase the ears are tickled. I don't even know if He is there. However, which of these chuches exist today? Ephesus is long gone. Searcher |

jcsav, Please tell me what the Idealist/ Spiritual view is in regard to Revelation ... just the high level basics. To others Idealist or Spiritual are just names ... it does not mean the views are ideal or spiritual. Searcher |

3370 | Are pastors angels? | Rev 2:1 | Searcher56 | 178357
God'smorning to you, Bereaniam, Yes, the bishop/overseer is the pastoror leader of the church. The verses cited can be interpeted either way - it is hard to know if the Holy Spirit was writing this to a group of churches. It isamonor issue and you can choose the place you want to go. S
3371 | Are pastors angels? | Rev 2:1 | Searcher56 | 178385
- I believe pastor and overseer are the same position ... and requires a spiritual gift - when the plural is used we don't know if it is to a group in one church or to a single person inmany churches - it is a minor issue, since each group can use the Bible to prove their side. The major issues are Wo is God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, man, sin, salvation, judgment ... I chose not yo discuss church government with you any more |

3372 | How can we return to our first love? | Rev 2:4 | Searcher56 | 12923
There, I like 'Can we work hard for anyone (doing the best we can do), yet not love that other person?" ... I would say "fully love". I think that we get caught up we doing things for the Lord ... but do not spend time with Him, in prayer, praises (song) and Scripture. Preachers and teachers study for what they present us. But, forget to do a separate study for themsleves. Steve PS There are many who do go thru the motions |

3373 | Who were the Nicolaitans? | Rev 2:6 | Searcher56 | 9071
Prayon ... Good answer. There were these groups (sects) in the churches that were preaching another gospel (Gal 1:10). I am not sure the Nicolaitans were in the church of Ephesus, since they were hated. So they went north to Pergamum. Steve

It would be hard to make that move. Evne more when we read Revelation 2-3. He is in the churches, but, not the churches. He is the husband and the church is His wife ... read the end of Revelation. Steve
