3207 | manhood | Bible general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 12422
There, Excellent post. We are to be considerate and treat our wives with respect, remembering both are heirs ... so that your prayer life won't be hindered (1Pe 3:7). In this verse the wife is the weaker one, so it is up to us to protect her. Love always protects (1Co 13:7). Steve |

3209 | Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? | Gen 18:28 | Searcher56 | 12379
JVH0212, I read the thread. This is a new twist. No one brought up the children of Sodom. Were they righteous? If so, why were they not included in the count? I want to know, because it bothers me that the little ones past, present and future are doomed - because by what I read, they are not righteous. So, please find out and help me. Steve |

3210 | How many righteous people were in Sodom? | Gen 18:28 | Searcher56 | 12361
Please answer the questions.
3211 | Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? | Gen 18:28 | Searcher56 | 12356
In Gen 18:24-32, Abraham pleads and the count goes from 50 to 10 righteous ... since God desrtoyed Sodom and Gomorrah (19:24), I believe there weren't 10 righteous. Lot, his wife and two daughters are four. God could not find six other righteous. I presume there were children around. Since, they were not righteous, they are unrighteous. Unless you know of another catergory. Nolan, I do not want to be right. I want the little children - who do not know their right hand from their left, to be with the Lord. I still don't have a satisfactory answer to why the children were not considred righteous. Steve |

3213 | What are the consequences of lying? | Bible general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 12338
Nolan, why are you repeating your posts? Exo 1:15-19, 1Sa 20:5-7, Jos 2:2-6 are indeed examples of lying. However, it is never justified. Shall we commit other sins, just because someone did it in the Bible? Murder, sacrificing our daughter, eating food we aren't supposed to ... |

3214 | Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? | Gen 18:28 | Searcher56 | 12336

3215 | "Who am I?" How important is it? | 1 Chr 17:16 | Searcher56 | 12335
Inerrancy of Scripture is a major point of theology ... to die for. It sounded like you were changing the text. Unless you know what the original says and can properly translate, you have no business doing what you did. |
||||||
3216 | Is telling a lie(all kinds) sin? | Bible general Archive 1 | Searcher56 | 12306
There is NEVER justification for lying. God will decide who will live and die, so don't lie. Planning to lie, read Acts 5:1ff. |

3217 | Righteous, Unrighteous and Children? | Gen 18:28 | Searcher56 | 12267
TOFT, God's ways and thoughts are so much higher than ours ... whew. I don't want to match wits with the Almighty. Yes, I did consider that there may of been no children. But, the reason for that scares me. Steve |

3219 | Psalm 92:13-14,advise to give friends? | Psalm | Searcher56 | 12220
J.C Freak, worship is misdefined by 99.99 percent of the churches. In fact, our English definition is not correct. I have studied worship in-depth for six months and a little less for the past three, so I think I know what I am talking about. Saying that other evangelitical churches are wrong should not be done. I would go ask the pastor why he cannot accept the minor differences. Satan wants us divided, because Jesus prayed for unity (Jhn 17:17). As far as leaving, I would be uncomfortable if any pastor would say something like that. So I would challenge him, pray before-during-after the talk. Then, decide. Steve |
