Greetings Agnostic, All the same, I do ask that you seriously think about it - the reason for our existence - and if you have ever honestly given God (as the answer to the question) serious thought.. You have everything to gain by pursuing Christ! Blessings to you, Makarios |

Greetings Bows44! Your post to Lil_kea13 was certainly explanatory enough in showing how one views another's Forum profile, but if you insist, I will give it a shot if Lil_kea13 continues to have difficulty. Perhaps with two people providing suggestions, it will be made more clear. :-) Lil_kea13, if you are viewing a post on the Forum homepage (the first page that appears when you log onto the Forum), and you would like to view the profile of the author of a particular post, then go all the way up to the top of that post, and simply click on the author's name. If you would like to read the profile of, say, Bows44, then simply click on "Bows44" and the next page that you view will be the user's profile. Blessings to you, Makarios |

24 | Sound Advise??? | Bible general Archive 2 | Makarios | 94944
Greetings my friend! I have been placed in many circumstances throughout my life that have not made it particularly "easy" for me to be a witness for Jesus Christ, that is for sure! But some of the more important things to remember are: while you continue to witness, never give up!! THEY ARE WATCHING YOU! :-) You may be the 'only "Bible" that they ever read!' :-) So take care, my brother in Christ, and never lose heart or sight of Christ, who has ensured victory for those who believe in Him! I have spoken to Satanists, several Jehovah's Witnesses (they keep coming to my door :-) ), several Mormons (they gave me a Book of Mormon :-) ), a self proclaimed 'witch', agnostics, antagonists of all kinds, and other people that severely need the saving grace of Christ. I have been to several jails and witnessed to inmates, even on Sunday. I have witnessed on the street, sometimes giving out tracts and sometimes speaking to people without tracts.. I have walked up to complete strangers in any setting and all walks of life and asked them if they have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I have worked in a few factories before, and on 3rd shift before, where it was extremely hard to stand up for your faith in front of men who had only sinful things on their minds.. However, many times I have been called names and have been literally screamed at. Other times, I would find my tracts all torn up, not even looked at. I've been threatened and told not to witness or say anything about Christ. But you see, that's all part of the long haul, my friend, and you will grow from it and learn to take it in stride, because we run a different race than this world does, my friend! Keep your eyes on Jesus Christ, and keep your eyes open for opportunities to share your faith! Keep leading by example, if none of your words find 'good soil.' Remember, you can share what the Lord has done for you, but once you have sincerely shared your testimony, then it is the task of the Holy Spirit to use your testimony to draw another person to Him... We can only share what He has done for us. And we will continue to do so, gladly, until these mortal bodies expire! Blessings to you, Makarios |

Greetings Darcy! I am sorry to hear of what happened to you in your efforts to witness to that man. We should continue to pray for him, since we can never underestimate the value of the power of prayer! There are other "witnessing" stories that I can share with you, some that will make you laugh, and some that did not turn out so well.. But never lose your zeal and love for Him! In all settings, we must be ready (2 Timothy 4:2) in season and out of season, to give a defense to anyone who asks us to give an account for the hope that is in us! (1 Peter 3:15). Blessings to you, Makarios |

31 | Are your answers authoritative? | Bible general Archive 2 | Makarios | 95175
Greetings Aixen7z4, There is also room here, at this StudyBibleForum, that allows one to add their personal testimony, and a thread was started (granted, a very long time ago), that was for that very purpose, although it has not been "added to" in quite some time. Conceivably, you could provide us with your testimony in your User Profile, where it could be accessed just by clicking on your User Name. You have said, "It is my observation that many people on many forums post opinions without referring us to any scripture." That is very true, my friend!! And this has already been done TONIGHT, at this Forum, by a new user named "JacksNewEyes." :-) That is why there are a few of us here, who have taken up the call, to "take up residence here" (so to speak), and counter these fallacies and (so called) "Gradiose Lectures of Opinion" by these folks who really have no idea what they are talking about, and really have no business on a "StudyBibleForum", so that the mass audience at this Forum will not be led astray by such opinions that have absolutely no basis or origin in Scripture. As for the idea of a "Moderator", that idea has already been pitched to the 'powers that be'; but much to the chagrin of yours truly, was abandoned for a more 'progressive' approach regarding this Forum, establishing a different precedent and "makeup" to this particular Forum, as compared to others that the internet offers. I can assure you that the Lockman Foundation recognizes the Holy Bible as the ultimate and final authority, and their wish for this Forum is to reflect that Truth as well (as stated in "About the Forum" to your left). That is why there are a few of us who stick around to make sure that these presenters of "Grandiose Lectures of Opinion" are, let us say, "put precisely in their place". Blessings to you, Makarios |

32 | why is it we were never meant to change | Bible general Archive 2 | Makarios | 95222
JacksNewEyes, What??? I'm not surprised that a second post written by you is just as convoluted and confused as the first. By the posts that you have written, I conclude that you are not a Christian. Therefore, I will not have anyone pray for me who is not a Christian. Not one part of either of your posts is understandable or written with that intention. - Makarios |

38 | any preaching during satan's 1000 yrs | Bible general Archive 2 | Makarios | 95980
Greetings Candy Lee, I do not see any 'direct' mention of Satan in 1 Thess. 4:13-18 or 2 Thess. 2:8, and neither of these passages of Scripture support the "loosing" of Satan as stated in Revelation, or that the righteous are in heaven, or that the saints will judge the fallen angels during this time. You are coming to many conclusions that are NOT based upon Scripture. Blessings to you, Makarios |

39 | any preaching during satan's 1000 yrs | Bible general Archive 2 | Makarios | 96172
Candy Lee, I agree that 1 Thess. 4:13-18 is speaking of Christ's Second Coming. However, I see no Scriptural connection between 1 Thess. 4:13-18, the 144,000 saints (Rev. 14), Rev. 12:17, 14:12 or even 22:14.. You know, Scripture leads us (by itself) to conclusions, just by reading within the context. Perhaps we should let Scripture come to certain conclusions without making conclusions for Scripture. Blessings to you, Makarios |

40 | The Problem with WoF in a nutshell | Bible general Archive 2 | Makarios | 96525
"Did Jesus promise to give us literally anything we ask for in faith?" "No. This is a Word-Faith misinterpretation of Mark 11:23,24. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." There are limitations on what God will give, indicated by the broader context of Scripture." "To begin, God will not literally give us anything we ask. Some things are actually impossible. For example, God cannot grant a request of a creature to be God. Neither can He answer a request to approve of our sin. God will not give us a stone if we ask for bread, nor will He give us a serpent if we ask for fish (Matt. 7:9,10)." "When the rest of Scripture is taken into consideration, there are many conditions placed on God's promise to answer prayer in addition to faith. We must "abide in Him" and let His Word "abide in us" (John 15:7). We cannot "ask amiss" out of our own selfishness (James 4:3). Furthermore, we must ask "according to His will" (1 John 5:14). Even Jesus prayed, "Father, if it is possible, let this cup [His death] pass from Me" (Matt. 26:39). We must ever keep in mind that on all except God's unconditional promises, this "if it be Your will" must always be stated or implied."
