81 | So if we ask questions then what? | Rom 9:15 | C.S.M. | 156676
Hi EdB, Ro 9:16 says it is "of God that shows mercy." This agrees with what God not only requires of mankind, but how he lives himself. Micah 6:8 He has showed you O man, what is good, and what does the Lord REQUIRE of you? But to do justly, to love MERCY, and to walk humbly with your God. (margin: to humble yourself to walk with your God) God doesn't require something of mankind that he does not do himself or wants mankind to do themselves. That would be confusing. We would call it hypocritical. That would be saying one thing and doing something else, God is not like that. He sets out His standards, the ones he lives by, for mankind to emulate. Therefore, because God requires man to love mercy, he loves mercy! What about humility? There are many ideas on the subject of humility, but Phil 2:8 tells us exactly what God calls humility! Obedience to obey God's word on every issue of life is what humility is, in God's sight. Jesus did it. And (Jesus) being found in fashion as a man, he HUMBLED himself (how?) and became obedient (to whom? God! Up to and including) death, even the death of the cross. That is obedience in the highest degree. Of course Jesus is the only one who could have paid the price, because he was the only obedient human that had fully obeyed God. Ro 5:19 Jesus paid it all, all to him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain, HE washed it white as snow. Thank you Lord Jesus. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

NASB Romans 9:15 For He says to Moses, "I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION." AMPLIFIED Romans 9:15 For He says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion (pity) on whom I will have compassion. [Exod. 33:19.] Subject: So if we ask questions then what? Note: Hi Lionstrong, Ro 9:16 says it is "of God that shows mercy." This agrees with what God not only requires of mankind, but how he lives himself. Micah 6:8 He has showed you O man, what is good, and what does the Lord REQUIRE of you? Lionstrong, Of course God doesn't "owe" anyone anything. The point is that because God requires mercy of mankind, and they are not God, he also requires mercy of himself, or he would be asking an inferior creature to do what he does not do himself. That would be hypocrital for God to ask mankind to do something he does not do himself. He is not a hypocrit! Mercy is a requirement God not only makes for mankind but also makes for himself, or the "whosoever will may come" would be a moot point. Why? because they may or may not find mercy! There would be no assurance that if they came they would be received. John 3:16 would not be relevant to any human being as a completed mercy given offer. As to perogative: God doesn't work by that criteria, he works by what he has said in his word of truth. Is he free to do anything he wants? No. He is free to do his truth, like he requires of mankind! Again he doesn't require anything of mankind, that he does not do himself, and wants mankind to emulate. so mercy and truth are his personal requirements also, he sets the standards, we follow his lead. Is there any passages you know that requires mankind to think, do, and speak the truth? Jesus said, "I am the way, truth, and life." He identifies his lifestyle and standard of living in that profile. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

Hi Lionstrong, Of course God is perfect, because he is who he is, and in that context, he requires of himself, personally, perfection. And as II Cor 3:17-18 says,"we are changed into the same image from glory (his understanding) to glory (his understanding), as as by the Spirit of the Lord." We get that understanding from the study of his thoughts, words and deeds, ways, means and directions, by the written word, the Bible. We agree. Always in Chirst, C.S.M. |

Hi Mark, Eph 1:17-23 tells us Paul said that God is the Father of glory, then asks him to give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him..that the eyes of our UNDERSTANDING be enlightened that we may KNOW.. (know what?) 1. the hope of his calling 2. the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints 3. the greatness of his power to usward who believe 4. the working of his mighty power 5. the same power he working in Christ when he raised him from the dead. 6 the fact that he seated Jesus as his own right hand, far above (not just a tiny bit above but far above) above what? 7. ALL (not just some but all) principalities, powers, might, dominion, EVERY NAME that is named, (where?) not only in this world but in the world to come. ( does every disease have a name? his name eradicates it then.) 8. And God has put all (people, places, things, and demons) under his feet (the feet are in the body, not in the head, right?) and gave him, (Jesus) the head over all (people, places, things and devils) to the church...his body (where the feet are), the (head and the) body is the fulness of him (God the Father) which fills all in all. I'd call that glory, understanding God, wouldn't you? Always in christ, C.S.M. |

Hi Mark, No, God's glory produces wisdom, and understanding in the knowledge (of whom?) of him. God's glory encompasses everything God is, thinks, says, does, produces etc..but we must be able to rightly divide it II Tim 2:15. What does it take to rightly divide it? Study of God's word on every subject brought to our remembrance by the Holy Spirit. No, I won't call you obtuse :-) Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

Hi Steve, Revelation from God is what Jesus said the "gates of hell would not prevail against the church" Matt 16:17-18 God reveals to sinners,Jesus, the Living Word, God revealing the written word, the Bible, is what is called in Deut 29:29 "the things that are revealed belong to us"... That would be understanding God's revelation of his word. If one didn't understand it, it would do no good for God to reveal it, would it? It's not an either/or statement, it is both and more. Why have only half when God has afforded you all of it? I have absolute agreement with your statements. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

Hi Steve, It's scripture! What's not to understand? Since God gives the "spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him" and "opens the eyes of our understanding" and is the Father of Glory, why are you confused that a part of God's glory, which is all of his abilities, is understanding???? Everything good is a part of God's glory ! Some have a mystical idea of glory as being a bright light, a mystical experience or some other thing. Consider the glory spoken of in I Cor 15:38-45, then from your understanding determine what kind of glory that is ! Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

91 | Mercy's God's prerogative | Rom 9:15 | C.S.M. | 157082
Steve, I am not espousing pantheism or panentheism. The point being glory used in I Cor 15:38-45, denotes the usefulness of a thing, and in this setting Paul throws into the mix "so also is the resurrection of the dead..sown in dishonor; raised in glory: sown in weakness; raised in power" You do recall the scripture that states "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are CLEARLY SEEN being understood by the THINGS THAT ARE MADE, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." If you can understand the natural things of the earth and their relationships you can understand the Godhead, according to this scripture. You can have no excuse! That would include God's glory in the I Cor 15:38-45 passage..according to the Ro 1:20 scripture. You can't just fluff it off and say "they are different," you must discern, how and why they are different, and how it relates to the Godhead. According to this scripture, you're supposed to be able to discern clearly, and understand by THINGS THAT ARE MADE, God's eternal power AND Godhead. I hear some adjustments going on in your head... True, short and sweet. John 17:17 Jesus prayed speaking to God the Father, "sanctify them through your truth, your word IS TRUTH" sanctify means (Greek)to be: morally, blameless; physically, pure; and ceremonially, consecrated to God (i.e. and his word of truth). Always In Christ, C.S.M. |

The rest of the answer C.S.M. The book of Ephesians for the Church... Don't ask me how, it just does! That will get you started on your quest to know what God has provided for believers in Christ. If a person were to try to explain every scripture you would miss the pleasure of asking God to teach you. He is, after all, the one who knows more than any human being could ever phathom, he wrote the book. Ask him to give you understanding, according to the prayer Paul prayed for all believers of all times Eph 1:15-23 as follows: Father, God of my Lord, Jesus Christ, you who are the Father of Glory, give unto me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of you (and for the acknowledgement of you). Open the eyes of my understanding and enlighten them, that I may KNOW the hope of your calling the riches of your inheritance in the saints the exceeding greatness of your power to me because I believe the working of your mighty power KNOW the working you worked in Christ when you raised him from the dead! Know you set him at your own right hand in heaven KNow you set him FAR ABOVE all principality power might dominion every name that is named in this world and in the world to come and you put all things under his feet gave Jesus the head over all to the church the church is his body Jesus and the church is the fullness of God. Eph 2:4 God you are rich in mercy and your great love, Eph 2:5 made us alive together with Christ. How? Eph 1:6 God accepted us in Christ and that is God's Grace!!!! Eph 2:8 For by (God's acceptance of us in Christ Jesus)grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it (actuall He,Jesus) is the gift of God (to mankind for our salvation). That is the plan of God from before the foundation of the world according to Paul in Eph 3:3 the mystery; (as I wrote before in Eph Chapters 1 and 2, in a few words....whereby when you read you may UNDERSTAND my knowledge in the mystery of Christ).. Hi Steve, If God had not spoken, you would not know, if you did not know how God thinks, you would not know God's standards, if you did not know God's standards you would have no idea what to believe, and if you did not know what to believe how would you know what faith is? God's faith is God's thoughts words and deeds reduced to writing so we can know Him! He is faith, he doesn't just have faith! His written word is his faith, written down, who he is, what he wants, and how we get there from here. Yes being a doer of the word is the key. James 1:22 Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only deceiveing YOUR OWN SELVES. You realize there are two deceivers in the world, satan and those who do not do the word of God! Sorry for the misunderstanding. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

Steve, Is your thoughts, words and deeds your faith? As a man thinks in his heart so is he... Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life Be a doer of the word and not just a hearer only deceiving your own selves Do these scriptures not reveal to you that you are not a robot, and neither is God. Is mankind made in God's image? Able to think, speak and do? What is faith in your definition? How do you get there from where you are? Is your mind outside the loop? Is your words outside the loop? Are your deeds outside the loop of what faith is? Is faith a woo-woo- mystical thing no one can pin point? How can you have faith without thoughts, words and deeds? Faith without works is dead! God's word without corresponding action is dead! corresponding action is not specifically in that verse but what is works if it is not corresponding action to what God has said? The first sentence, agrees with the second, in the same light of cognitive understanding. Always in Christ, C.S.M. |

Hi Steve, Ro 1:16-17 the gospel of Christ..is the power of God unto salvation..for therein is the righteousness of God REVEALED from FAITH TO FAITH: as it is WRITTEN the just shall live by faith. Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, IT IS WRITTEN, that man shall not live by bread alone, but BY EVERY WORD OF GOD. Since the just must live by faith, and Jesus said you live by every word of God. God's word is God's faith. Always in Chirst, C.S.M. |

Hi WOs Gen 1:3 And God said...let there be light and there was light... God's spoken word created light Gen 1:6 And God said...Let there be a firmament (7) and it was so God's spoken word created firmament Gen 1:9 And God said, ..let the dry land appear..and it was so God's spoken word created waters, land Gen 1:11 And God said...Let the earth bring forth..and it was so. God's spoken word created a producing earth Gen 1:14 And God said...Let them be for lights..for day and night..signs and seasons (15) and it was so God's spoken word created these also Gen 1:20 And God said...Let the water bring forth abundantly..moving creatures that has life..fowl, whales, every living creature that moves, winged fowl... (24) and it was so God created all these with his spoken word Gen 1:24 And God said...Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, creeping thing, beast,...and it was so God created these things with his spoken word Gen 1:27 And God said...Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish, sea, fowl, cattle, earth, every creep (ing) thing. And it is obvious by now that God created mankind by his spoken word, if words mean anything, except to argue with. I'm sure Mr. Hagin and Mr. Copeland would be flattered that you attributed God's words as their words, but I don't see their name mentioned there. It says clearly, to those who can read, and GOD said! Not someone else said... How can you twist the scripture to say it is a person other than God who said that? Mark 11:22 This is Jesus speaking, not some other person...Jesus said, "Have faith in God." The margin: greek...says, Have the faith OF God. Then Jesus goes on to tell you what faith is. He is the Master teacher you know, or do you? For verily (it is the truth) I (Jesus) say unto you (that is reading the text), that whosoever (that means the reader and the doer of his word)shall SAY (that means speak, say words) unto this mountain (of whatever is coming against you), Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt (what Jesus is saying to the reader) in your heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAITH (speaks in words, like God did in the beginning when he created all things with his words) shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith (you have to speak words to say something). Therefore I (Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God) SAY (speak words) unto you. what things soever you desire, when you pray (speak words to God), believe that you RECEIVE them (Heb 11:6), and you shall have them. I don't see anyone's name attached to these words of Jesus, except his own name. Are you saying he is lying? Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. God didn't have wood to produce wood when he created wood. He spoke it into existence as Genesis testifies as fact, not some man's fiction and philosophy, about what God actually said. continued: |

conclusion: Who is faith, what is faith, where is faith, when is faith, how is faith, and why is faith. How high is faith, how deep is faith, how wide is faith, how long is faith, do you know? Who is Grace, what is grace, when is grace, where is grace, how is grace, why is grace, how high is grace, how deep is grace, how wide is grace, how long is grace, how wide is grace, do you know? By the answer you gave, you know nothing of these subjects. You don't even know who spoke them into existence. Clue: it was God May God open the eyes of your understanding in the study of "his" word. Jesus is the living Word John 1:1-4, Rev 19:13, I John 5:7 The Bible is the written Word II Tim 3:16-17, II Tim 2:15, Ro 1:16-20 Our Words in obedience to God's Word is the spoken word, our faith, based on God's Word James 1:22, Ro 10:17, But the righteousness which is of faith SPEAKS..Ro 10:6 that means says words.... Deut 30:10-14 Moses said, "If you shall listen unto the voice of the Lord your God, (how) to keep his commandments (spoken words, reduced to writing that you are reading) and his statutes which are "written" in this book of the law, and IF you turn unto the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul. For this commandment which I command you this day , it is NOT HIDDEN from you, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should SAY (words again), who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto to us, that we may hear it and do it? (be a doer James 1:22) Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should SAY (words), who shall go over the sea for us, and bring i unto us, that we may hear it and do it? But the word (whose words? Gods!) is very near you, (where) IN YOUR MOUTH,(to speak out with words) and IN YOUR HEART, (is your human spirit, it's not talking about your blood pump, you know!) that you may do it. It's only a brand new revelation to those who are unbelieving or unlearned, It's in the Bible from Genesis to revelations last amen. If any person is depending on another human being to get their interpretations of an Almighty God, they are only fooling themselves. The whole idea that God doesn't have the things he gives to us is rediculous. Faith, hope and love are outsourced by my heavenly Father, God, the Almighty One. He is the source of all good things...Only good comes down from God James 1:17. Are you saying Faith, Hope and Love are not good? There has to be someone behind faith before you can say, "by faith", who is that ? Where is your source? What is your source, men? Their information? Or is it God's word, living, written, and spoken? He does Know it all, that leaves him at the head of the class, it would do you well to heed what HE says. The only words that mean anything are his, exactly as he says them. Question: Did God exist before the men and web sights you reference? Of course, silly!! They won't be able to help you when you stand before God and say, "but God, so and so, wrote this and said that." I think God will say, "yes, but what did I say in my word?" Always in Christ, C.S.M. |
