21 | Tell me who unties them? | Matt 18:18 | Appleseed | 10668 | ||
Thanks for capital letters JVH0212. Help me understand. When Jesus gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases." (Luke 9:1). Was this authority only to cast them out. Didn't Jesus also tell them where to go once they left that person. If someone had authority over you, you would have no choice but to listen. If you told your child to stand in the corner until I lease you, then surely they would have to stay in the corner. Why? Because of your authority. |

JVH0212: The Holy Spirit is in everyone of us. The Holy Spirit is the power within us, not us. We have the authority to exercise the power through Jesus Christ. Jesus in this parable Matt.24:45-51 tell us that He has given us the same authority he had. So if Jesus can do it we can do it. He has given us the same authority He had. It is not us, but in us Christ (Rom. 13:14). We can only exercise that authority with faith like a mustard seed. The children that are disobedient is generally due to a lack of discipline. Once the child understands the consequence and FEAR the consequences they do listen (I'm not talking about those who lack understanding). When the demons saw Jesus they trembled with fear. We have the same light working in us and it is evident in the spiritual realm through faith. 1 John 4:4. If you want me to elaborate I can but I'm sure you know more verses supporting this. In the Vine |

What version are you look at. 45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48But if that evil servant says in his heart, "My master is delaying his coming,' [1] 49and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. |

As the previous mails stated we have the authority through Jesus (don't argue with me read the Word). Only when we are in the vine. And to your question, yes we can do all the things Jesus did if we believe and are equipped. The word of God is not a magic show. As Jesus said there needs to be a purpose behind the request and it needs to be in the Will of God (in other words benefiting the kingdom of God). Jesus has given us the authority, if you believe it or not Christians have the authority. I will still command demons to leave and tell them where to go and how long they will stay there for. One day in the rapture, we will see. Jesus said, If you ask me "anything in My name, I will do it." (John 14:14). Anything means anything. Your messages are not helpful but sarcastic, is that showing love. Let's agree to disagree and end the discussion here. |

Hi Ed: I'm moved. I forgave you the instant I became upset. The Lord and I spoke this morning about this. So I know that you have been lead by the Lord to write this. Thanks for being open to the Lord. And I am glad that we serve the same Almighty God. I too have seen and experienced things where most will not believe if I told them. The power and the victory that we have through Jesus Christ is so overwhelming that if I use the logic of my mind to explain, I cannot. But if I use the Word of God, I can with the help of the Holy Spirit. Thanks again for your humility and openness to the truth. I look forward to a lot more productive insights. God Bless |

Hi Nolan: Are you saying, figuratively, in the case of a human body, the ear is the receiver. When God spoke things into being, the thing He spoke too, received the Word and it came into being. The ear being symbolic of the human body? |
