1 | The Christian response? | Judg 1:13 | DocTrinsograce | 196978
Dear justme, I watched that program, too. Lunatics used to pop up here and there, but we now have a wide range to choose from! Since the church teaches so little doctrine, few there be in the laity to rightly weigh their words. The world knows even less, so they think the kooks are representative of us all! Have we learned nothing from history? The country will not be saved by having a Christian in the presidency, nor will it be lost by having a heathen in office. The other political efforts of many Christians, in trying to make the lost moral is like putting makeup on a corpse. Each and every believer must do everything -- right down to brushing their teeth -- for the glory of God. As we search out and submit to the clear commands of Scripture, the Lord will lead in the gray areas. In Him, Doc |

2 | The Christian response? | Judg 1:13 | justme | 196979
Doc: At some funerals I have done, the person had never looked as nice, or never appeared like they were in better health. Perhaps, we too put on our "Christian makeup" for church, and take off the phoney face through the rest of the week. I can not imagine anyone with any understanding of what war does making the suggestion Rev. Hagee did. Ask any disabled Veteran how long war wounds last, or take to heal. The way Rev. Hagee talks he probably is an armchair warrior, with a purple butt medal. In Matthew 5 Jesus gave a better way to avoid conflicts, when at all possible. Thanks for your remarks Doc, blessings. justme |
