1 Was Luke an Apostle? Luke 1:1 AKG-pa 222213
If one of the requirements to be included in the Gospels was to have been an Apostle, How did Luke make it? I was told he was a doctor.
2 Was Luke an Apostle? Luke 1:1 BradK 222214
  Hello AKG,

Luke was not an immediate disciple of the Lord, nor as 1:2 would indicate, an eyewitness. Col. 4:11, 14 seem to establish that he was a gentile. He was a companion of Paul, and did author both his Gospel and Acts.

I hope this helps,

BradK
