| I heard a sermon last night that I don't totally agree with. Therefore, I am seeking wise counsel in this matter. It was said that since we have the Holy Spirit living within us at all times it is unnecessary/wrong/inappropriate to ever ask for the presence of God to fill, say, a sanctuary for a time of worship since He is already there. Any thoughts pro or con would be most appreciated. I just want to know the truth. Blessings, Verne | ||||||

It is never inappropriate to prayer in the name of Jesus and it's never wrong to ask Jesus to be with or the group praying. I can't believe anyone would object to asking God to be with you in prayer. If you were walking into a scary place would you not ask Jesus to be with you for strength ? God's spirit is within all of us but we must seek him out and worship him |
