| I believe all men were created in God's image and that he sent his only son here to pay for our sins by giving his own life. But, the thing I don't understand is how the scientific community can boldly state that man came from apes or worse, we were formed from bits of slime during the creation of the world. How can they blatantly deny the truth by trying to fill our heads with theory and conjecture? | ||||||

| I do understand where Searcher is coming from, and I believe that one day any questions I may have will be answered. But, my mom has many questions that she feels the bible doesn't answer like how long did Adam and Eve live in the garden of eden before they were exiled? And where did prehistoric man fit in along with the dinosaur? And if the bible is only four thousand years old, where did the author of Genesis get his information? According to the scientists the earth is billions of years old. Maybe you can help answer some of these questions for her so she won't be so skeptical. I'd like to try to put her mind at ease. | ||||||

| Sounds like to me your mom is looking for proof. The Bible does not (as far as i know) have all those answers mainly from what i can tell b/c it has no relivance in being in it, could you imagine how big the Bible would be if we had all those answers, i understand the questions they are legite, one thing i would ask my teens when asked these questions is how do we really know that George Wahington chopped down a cherry tree or was it an apple tree or could it have been a prune tree. I know it is not good to answer questions with other questions, but somethings you have to just have faith and believe. How do you know the wind is there? Can you see it? Sorry no scripture references! |
