| When God wanted to divide mankind he gave each a different language. Language divides. The question that needs to be asked does the Hispanic and English church want to be one or to be divided. I think if they want to be one then the English church needs to do whatever it can to help the Hispanics assimilate themselves into the church. If they want to be divided then the English church needs to decide how much help they want and can afford to give another church. If you go to another country you are expected to assimilate yourself into that culture and that is how it should be. However for some reason there is an idea here in the US that the culture needs to assimilate itself to accommodate those that come in. It is not a matter of whether one speaks English another Spanish or some other language, what matters is language differences divide as seen in Genesis 11. There is simply no way around that or to deny that. EdB |
