1 Date given for Nehmiah to rebuild? Neh 2:1 clayll 108500
Where do most scholars place the date for Nehmiah being given permission to rebuild the temple? And why?
2 Date given for Nehmiah to rebuild? Neh 2:1 EdB 108501
Nehemiah writes that the King Artaxerxes gave permission to rebuild the temple in the twentieth year of his reigned in the month of Nissan. That would figure out to be March 14 of 445BC. Why that date? Because that is when history records the the month of Nissan would occur in the 20th year of the reign of Artaxerxes. If you want to learn more on this I suggest you read.
