1 Spirit and Truth John Elijahprophet 86015
What does it REALLY mean to worship GOD in spirit and in truth?
2 Spirit and Truth John DAIRYLEADER5 86016
With the whole soul, mind feelings, emotions and desires. God wants to have an entimate relationship with his people. A true love between spirits. For God is Spirit. He doesnt want anyone who would worship him in fallacies, contrvercies, or vain rituales. just as was asked about praying in the holy Ghost this is one example, not every one will but God has made provisions for our mistakes. I hope this answers your question.
3 Spirit and Truth John Scribe 86026
John 4:19-24 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
This passage explains to us that the idea that the woman had, that which building or "site" you visit was significant in the eyes of God as to acceptable worship was error. Jesus was saying the establishing of his church, the pouring out of the Spirit on all believers was upon them, and they would learn that you can worship and praise and fellowship with God anytime any where by your faith in Jesus Christ. He would give us the Holy Spirit which would be in us a well of water springing up in our innermost being and we would have constant fellowship with God in the Spirit and in Truth. Not the pompuos outward religious show of religous man made rituals in stuffy cathedrals that have no biblical basis, but in real comunion in the heart with God and the Holy Ghost. He will open up the Word of God to us so that we know what it means without any religious ruler telling us or without any need to attend a "school" of man's making to teach us how to interpret it. May God bless you in Spirit and in Truth as you study His Word.
