Matthew 7:16 "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? (17) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. (18) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. (19) Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. (20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."
2 | What animals are okay to eat? | Mark 7:15 | wolfrose | 61150
You are right. Nowhere in the Bible does it say it is ok to eat those things. They were not made for human consumption, and therefore should not be eaten.
3 | What animals are okay to eat? | Mark 7:15 | wolfrose | 61153
If you think about it, and put it in context, it is talking about words, not food. Matthew 5:18 "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled." It doesn't say "some laws", it means all of the law. God made us, He knows what we can or cannot eat. What makes it different now? |

Acts 10:28 gives the explanation of that vision. "Then he said to them, 'You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean."
5 | What animals are okay to eat? | Mark 7:15 | wolfrose | 61168
Matthew 6:25 is talking about faith. He continues on through the end of the chapter. Read on, especially vs 33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Mark 7:14-22 says that it doesn't matter what we hear or eat, that won't defile us. It is what we say. "There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man" vs. 15 Jesus is one of God made flesh. John 1:1-4 He was sacrificed. What better sacrifice can we make? Our creator was sacrificed for us. As for stoning: "He who is without sin, cast the first stone" |

6 | What animals are okay to eat? | Mark 7:15 | wolfrose | 61169
"commanding to abstain from meats, WHICH GOD HATH CREATED TO BE RECIEVED," God didn't create some meats to be recieved Lev 11:3-47 If you throw away the Old Testament, you might as well throw away the whole Bible. Jesus and His disciples kept the old laws. Even after Christ's death. Acts 18:21 is only one example. |

Why would I build an ark? The ark is in Heaven Rev 11:19. Unless you are talking about Noah's ark. But God said He would never flood the earth again with water Gen 9:11. I did not come here to argue Matt 7:6, unlike (obviously) some people. But a question was asked, and I had an answer 1 Pet 3:15. But since I don't believe the same as you, I am counted as wrong. But satan has decieved the whole world Rev 12:9. Sin is the transgression of the law 1 John 3:4. So you had better be sure of what you believe. |
