21 | The dream was from God? | Heb 1:1 | userdoe215 | 8474
Hank! My wife does that to me...use the wrong word and "BAM", get my english lesson for the day! :) Ok folks: substitute "the" for the word "a" And Hank, I'm so bad with numbers but I couldn't agree with you more about "THE" scriptures. I shall have to go home and tell my wife that I was learned a lesson! "ok, chickens LAY eggs: people LIE down" :)) Blessings! |

And thank you for quoting from Romans. For when in Rome, read Romans. But it begs the question: is the Lord restricted to a publication to bring someone into the Kingdom? I say no. JVH, any opinion on this matter? |

I think this might merit a rather candid response from me with regard to your comments. Personal character assinations are not an appropriatre rebuttal to the pennings of one that you do not know or love, and so I begin: having missed my point and ventured in the the shallow water looking for deeper things, don't you think that you should at least ask what I meant? In no way will I find myself on the bus of dismissing scripture as if it were some cork-board garages sale poster. And me thinks that you have mis-intrepreted some of the writings of someone as if he/she were dismissing scripture. Aux Contraire', the focus was on our "RELATIONSHIP" with the Lord. Are not the Law and the Prophets summed up in two commandments? "Love the Lord thy God with all you got (condensed a bit), and love your neighbor as yourself" (Jesus said this)? So where do we find ourselves with respect to the writings of those who thoughtfully put to paper (or whatever they had)experience/history/prophecy and what today we call "The Scriptures". Of couse maybe this issue is stuck in between dispensations. Does God speak to us today (I mean "speak") or does He specifically speak to us by the scriptures? Can't imagine how he would have told me to go to a specific bus stop and someone would be there whom I would minister to, using just the scriptures. I, for one, happen to enjoy sarcasm, if done properly it brings a laugh or two! And I would dare you call this person "unintelligent"...well, you shouldn't use that approach anyway. YOu say: "He also presumes to know the thoughts, feelings,...et al". And yet you presume to know HIS thoughts and feelings: "at least one post-er in his writings has substituted sarcasm for intelligence....". So see the log in you own eye before addressing a perceived splinter in another! Maybe I could have summed this up as "chill out", but lively discussions are good and hashing out things is also good! Having 5 sons, experience ha s proven that "as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another". Um, that's in the Bible. For better reading, go to the Book of Assumptions. Blessings! |

Well, I would suggest the you stop wondering about Jesus being unnecessary for one's salvation. For it's by His atonement, and His atonement alone that we become sons of the Living God and receive forgivness of sins. He said and I quote: "I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father but by me". So you can rest now. Blessings. |

I do recall one of His publications (a pamphlet) requiring a reprint. Something about stone tablets? :)

whoops...let me rephrase that: "is the Lord restricted to the Scriptures to bring someone...et.al.". Can't imagine using "publication" in this context! :) Blessings! |

Pam-phle-teer \,pam(p)-fle-'ti(e)r\ n: a writer of unbound printed publications attacking something or urging a cause.
