1 | GOD CANNOT LIE | John 3:16 | spiritualair | 65120
Why is everyone so afraid of the scriptures that are being presented? In reading all that has been written in this thread, there is NOTHING that Welldigger has brought up that contradicts what the scriptures clearly say. He is quoting what GOD SAYS. What IF there is something that God is trying to show ALL of us through this thread? Have we not learned from reading in the bible that people thought JESUS (God Himself) had a devil?? "He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? Jesus answered, I HAVE NOT A DEVIL; BUT I HONOUR MY FATHER, AND YE DO DISHONOUR ME." Jesus was honoring His Father by preaching what His Father commanded Him to preach, even though many did not understand HOW what He was preaching could be the truth! Now, what IF Jesus is talking to us all through this thread, trying to show us something that we perhaps do not yet know. Would it be wise to IGNORE HIM? The only way we can tell what a person is saying is the truth is whether or not it agrees 100 percent with the scriptures, because God WROTE THEM and GOD CANNOT LIE, according to Titus 1:2. Okay, so there SEEMS a bit of a problem in reading verses that have been put out there such as: "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins" (Hebrews 10:26) And: "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God" (1 John 3:9) Why are these verses a "problem" to many people?? Perhaps it's the same thing that was going on when Jesus was preaching here on the earth, and people thought he had a devil, because they couldn't understand HOW THEY could ever do what He was preaching for them to do. But does that make GOD a liar? NO. Perhaps, rather than ignoring the verses that stare us in the face, we could ask God to SHOW us what is currently wrong with what we're believing or HOW it would be possible to AGREE 100 percent with such tough verses as those recently brought to this thread's attention. Think about it carefully, for this may just be God trying to clear up our understanding so that we can be assured that we are believing the truth according to the scriptures 100 percent! in LOVE, Spiritualair |

2 | What about Matthew 19:16-19 | John 3:16 | spiritualair | 65130
Searcher, are you saying that Jesus LIED here, in order to make a different point elsewhere in the chapter, or do you believe that when God/Jesus answer this man's question that the truth is being spoken, i.e. "if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments" ?? spiritualair |

3 | What about Matthew 19:16-19 | John 3:16 | spiritualair | 65303
Since the "man" is just a man, and is not Jesus/God, therefore COULD lie, when he SAID that he kept the commandments, including "love thy neighbor as thyself"(verse 19), is it not possible or even probable that he LIED in SAYING that he kept them, meaning that he never broke any? JESUS, being God, knowing EVERYTHING and knowing that that man actually wasn't keeping "love thy neighbor as thyself" proved to that man by asking him to "sell all that he has, and give to the poor" that the rich young ruler WAS NOT in fact keeping that commandment, because if you love your neighbor as much as you love yourself, then if you have ANYTHING more than what your neighbor has, and there's always somebody without something then YOU won't have ANY possessions, because you will have given them to your neighbor. To see this more clearly, please read again Matthew 19:19-22: "Honour thy father and thy mother: and, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF. The young man SAITH unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, GO AND SELL THAT THOU HAST, AND GIVE TO THE POOR, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions." WHY did he go away sorrowful? Jesus told him to love thy neighbor as thyself when he told him to sell all that he has, so it seems that this man did NOT keep the commandments that Jesus said in keeping them, that a person could "have eternal life" (see matthew 19:16). He broke one of them, therefore did NOT keep them, therefore would not get the reward that Jesus promised of eternal life. In love and truth, Spiritualair |

Searcher, it seems by what you have been saying, that you are DISAGREEING with the comments I've made so far about Matthew 19. If God has enlightened you about something that I, or anyone else should see, why don't you share it with us? And if you disagree, then out of love for my soul, wouldn't you want to point out something SPECIFIC in order to HELP me see more clearly? For, in merely saying that YOU read the whole context, and as I have also, and don't yet see how the scriptures and comments that I have brought up would be in any way disagreeing with the context, then would you be so kind as to enlighten me and any others that may need some help?
