21 | During Rebuilding of the temple | Ezra 1:1 | smalltinygirl | 211487
Wow this is pretty comprehensive. I didn't even think of Artexerxes as having a part in the decree, I'm in Ezra 7 and thought it ended at Darius. Clearly I need to read further! I am going to send all that text to a file and when I get INK I"ll print it out and study it slowly! Thank you for your help!

23 | Origin of song Death of the Son | Ps 9:1 | smalltinygirl | 211310
In Psalm 9 the title indicates it is sung to the tune of "Death of the Son", and I am wondering whether that particular song is mentioned anywhere else and if anyone knows is it a prophetic title, and how or why is applies to this particular psalm as its contents don't talk about the death of a Son.
24 | Origin of song Death of the Son | Ps 9:1 | smalltinygirl | 211318
Thank you very much for your timely response, it is informative and pretty much substantiates what my husband and I were thinking too. God Bless. Laura
25 | Origin of song Death of the Son | Ps 9:1 | smalltinygirl | 211326
My question here is that Son is capitalized and the heading only indicates the song is sung to the tune of, suggesting to me that some other time someone wrote a song about the death of the Son and this psalm is using the same tune. Which makes me wonder if anyone knows about the song whose tune might have been borrowed. Or am I being too naive about this??? And no problem about copying the wrong commentary! THis makes the whole thing more interesting! Do you have any further ideas? |
